Maybe a year ago, but third-party developers have long since realized they're not gonna make much profit on the so-called 'gaming' console.
Only Nintendo games sell on it.
Of course it's not going to be top-notch.
Luckily Square's main teams (I.E the talented ones) are focusing on the titles that matter.
Which is why FFXIII, Versus XIII and KHIII will still be amazing.

Square Enix did not create Infinite Undiscovery, Tri-ace did. As for Last Remnant, that was developed by the less talented SaGa series team.
And it shows. Luckily the teams that matter are busy working on XIII and Versus.
Any real SW fan will agree.

Yes, those were my original impressions. I couldn't believe how crappy this game was.
But then I got rid of the loading times and actually played the game non-stop for many hours.
And I found something very likeable.

Last Remnant has absolutely nothing to do with the teams developing Final Fantasy XIII and Versus.
LR was developed by the same team behind the SaGa series.
Since Friday, I've bashed this game into oblivion. Not only for its massive technical flaws, but also for pretty much every other aspect of the the title. Including its battle system.
However I then installed it on the HDD, and started a new game. Decided to give it another chance before returning it to the stores.
Now I find myself playing the most enjoyable RPG experience (minus flaws, mind you) in a very long time.
Note to all Last Remnant owners: PLA...
