I dislike how 'providing the basic 360 features' is being spun into "listening to feedback."
They shouldn't need "data and research" of Xbox One gamers in order to know that we'd want, nay expect, these UI features to be carried over from the Xbox360.

As someone who used their PS3 and Xbox360 very similar. (as in 360>>PS3)

What your saying is 'you'd rather developers take as much money as they need (from publishers) to release a polished game.
Publishers don't want to invest that addition money.(time)
Where as in this case, the publisher being Microsoft, I think they'll be pushing hard for 2014 because of the holidays more than anything.
Even owning both, I always want to dedicate myself to one system.
MS has got to impress me with their exclusives now, cause as it stands my 3rd party purches are set to be on my PS4.

I really hope Microsoft sees their failures.
I hope they realize that the Xbox One is in stock everywhere, completely unlike the PS4, because of GAMER FOCUS, and specs that represent that.

And I will argue further, that difference are much more significant this time around.
Last gen, us Xbox fans touted how our games, like you said, had better frame rates, and textures.
But, at the same time - all those games ran at the exact same resolution, and FPS. (for the most part, COD is the only exception I can think of, where PS3 actually had lower res on a release or two)
Where as this new gen, we literally have multiplatform game run...
I personally don't like when "games not to miss" lists include rather obvious fan favourites.
To be fair, I see they present it as the Top 7th gen games - I took it as more 'games you might've missed'

Before anyone says something like "typical N4G" "Sony fans yadda yadda"...
keep it mind, there are gamers (including myself) that made a very big deal about 3rd party superiority when the Xbox 360 had it. There were literally countless titles that ran better on 360.
So, before you cast all the PS4 supporters opinions as fanboys, try to remember - some of us were Xbox 360 fans!

I don't want to discourage Microsoft from making improvements; we should commend them on every patch they put out.
