I remember when we used to be able to customize ascetics in-game for free.
Can you imagine Call of Duty, Battlefield, Destiny - or, you name it - selling weapon, player, mount skins for $3-6?
BF had exclusive skins for pre-order, ect - but not ALL of them, the base game still had customization..
Could you imagine the next Gears of Wars charging for every weapon skin?
This is precisely what has killed Destiny.
I'm content at lvl31. I'm not grinding Raids.. to get gear/ radiant materials that'll be useless next expansion..
I have more than ascendant materials than I know what to do with, more strange coins than to know what to do with, and same for Vanguard marks...
... basically all I do is check back Friday to see if there is a something worth buying from Xur...
Them being free matters little considering they advertised the game to have theists prior to launch.

2nd (March), 3 outfits, 4 blueprints.
3rd (May), a horde mode.
And to think I got all excited when I read that "the final drop will deliver a new map"...
I would love to buy more Dying Light content, but not this.

Dying Light, despite running identical across consoles, made me realize when I LOVE a game, comparisons matter MUCH less.
You can shout from every mountain top - "Forza 5 is the only next-gen AAA-exclusive that runs @1080/60, and it's only on Xbox One" - but that won't change the fact that the overarching trend is devs are getting their games to run better on PS4 than Xbox One.
I am almost positive you're aware of this, so pretending otherwise is incredibly misleading!

I've been purposefully keeping my expectations low for every exclusive, and any game I can.
I get burnt too often with high expectations. And then I thoroughly enjoy games that I don't expect much from.
It's almost predictable enough that I find it harder to enjoy games I 'like' and much easier enjoying games I thought I wouldn't. It's strange.

I gave Undead Labs the pass though cause they sincerely wanted to deliver co-op. But it sounds as though they weren't given the green light.
One would think that their game getting ported over to nextgen would mean MS has given everything a green light, but I presume they didn't - and Undead Labs is still pushing for it.
