Console people clearly don't get it. This is not an answer to PS4 or MS starting a new generation. MS is simply changing the console market to what it should be. To a way that has been around on pic for ages. One platform that ever evolves like steam. Steam has had the same system with old and new games continuing. Ms wants Xbox to do this. Its insane that this concept could make sony so much money. They need to realize that they can drive the ps4 console and yet also have even more game sales on the pc via stream. I can say for myself i dont have a ps4 and not sure ill get one. I would happily pay for ps4 games on ps now if they had pay per game or a higher price for unlimited games and new ones. Simple,Both systems will continue to use the same software just like how steam has been doing on windows for years. This means games will contiue to work on every new console.
