I had a girlfriend who always hated me loving the MGS series and telling me how stupid I was for being a huge fan and how much she hates Solid Snake. Funny thing considering she was a big fan of Resident Evil as much as I was of Metal Gear if not more so! Plus she has a Wii and enjoys playing Super Smash Bros. Brawl which, ironically, has Solid Snake in it! Take that!
