^That depend on what you are looking at:
1. If you are a casual gamers (MAJORITY OF GAMERS ARE CASUAL), would you want to pay $400 for PS3 with move or a $200 wii that both seem to be doing the same thing? The wii has the most family/party oriented games, most reliable console out of the 3 this gen and you can't beat the price. Do you think casual gamers care about hard core games, graphics, etc? Just look at the number of wii consoles/games sold compare to x360 or Ps3...
I'm not sure if Move is targetted at the right crowd (technically it is great) because Sony seem to really push it toward more for hard core gamers.
1. It is more expansive then the wii, and despite it accuracy, why would the casual ditch out more money for the same thing? I still don't see much of a distinction between move and wii. Beside, the charm of the wii and its selling point are the silly avatars and silly games (casual don't care about pixels, reali...
Well there are 2 possible outcomes:
1. It might not sell well due to it being 1 year old port and most PS3 fan might have gotten it on the PC already.
2. It might sell really well (on par or surpass x360), which mean the PS3 fan who claimed to have played most x360 games on PC are just BS.
Agree immortal kaim. Sony lost most of their well known games like GTA, DMC, FF, MGS, and they didn't die, so why only MS? And let say if MS really die from losing ME (LOL), how would that be great for gaming industry overall since there are no competition what so ever?
I really don't understand how one would let a peace of hardware, which only serve as a medium to play GAME, dictates how they are perceive in the society. Here are some questions:
yeah, like the ragni queen thing. It feels like they gonna be a major factor in ME3 (hinting from ME2), but then you would have to make that decision in ME1 or else you won't see it in ME2. Similar to the Krogan world, Liara and so on. There are a lot of things that actually can affect ME2 and possibly ME3 if you don't have ME1 saves.
But as Chrono said above, that could be one possibility.
It is great that PS3 owner get to play it, but this f...
well if you are willing to read (they have all the background story of ME1 in the x360 version) you can get some ideas. However, the only draw back is you'll be missing on the character import from ME1 thing (that you can actually see how it plays out through ME2) which i thought is quite interesting. Well i guess at least you can still import ME2 to ME3 then.
didn't Sony said something about developers helping to create PS4 (maybe easier to optimize or code for?)
nice, i love AoE, man that game is hard as hell (gonna get ma bigdaddy and a couple of mc2 peep)lol. Interesting concept as well.
Waiting 10+ mins looking at Snake smoking in MGS4 didn't stop it from being a really great game. Elevators scene is nothing (it is actually more interesting to see your team mates talking and get updates on the galaxy news based on previous quests outcome. I actually prefer it over a load screen as in ME2, which takes about the same amount of time). I swear, gamers just aren't as patient as they used to be. No wonder they keep saying JRPG is a dying breed.
If ME...
so the one who disagree care to tell me where i can get demo or info on indie games for PSN?
exactly and it is a problem with indie games on PSN. It is good for developers but not good for consumers. It is great that PSN is open, but what is the point if the games aren't getting promoted or some sort of exposure to the masses (by providing som sort of demo or info). I don't see pictures, info, demo etc....for PSN indie types of games so there is little to no incentive for me to purchase them.
As a consumers, would you go out a purchase a game where you...
decent sell.
Man i never see fanboys fighting so hard over second place. Great job guys, keep going. This is one of the best fight yet. *munching on popcorns*
i think SNES win overall but Sega did have some amazing games
LANDSTALKER (one of the best RPGs out there)
Beyond Oasis
columns
Thunderforce 4
Gunstar Heroes
Strider
Castlevania bloodline
Sonic 3D blast
Street of Rage 2
viewpoint (great gfx graphics but not as good as starfox)
Mercs
Virtual Racer
Rocket Knight
forgotten world
Quack Shot
Target Earth
...
And i assume hardcore preffer move over the standard controllers? You sure?
The only thing that i can see from this chart is that all 3 consoles are doing well this time around. Not a total domination like in PS2 era. More competition means better for gamers.
the one thing that no one mention here is cost of development and production for a game.
1. How much would it cost to develop 30 to 60 gig worth of pure gameplay (+20 hrs) and contents while keeping the game price at minimal cost of $60?
If you guys can answer that, then maybe we can find out if blue-ray is required for gaming or not or if DLC would be a more viable choice for most developers.
Good lists. RDR, ME2 and Bayonetta are one of the best and most enjoyable games this year for me.
i don't get why skadoosh get disagree for listing his favorite games so far this year?
^i think u will pirating it either way.
Why only at certain store is what i don't get. I wouldn't mind preordering it, but it could be a hassle to get it only at certain store.
you don't control fate of drake, i didn't know UC2 have alternative path story?
I don't get why people keep saying ME2 isn't RPG:
1. You make decision that alternate the outcome of the story (not just in ME2, but how you play ME1 also affect ME2 game and ME3) that is the most interesting aspect of ME game. I can seriously say that ME is the first true trilogy RPG game because of this alone. And for once, ME2 story are so much more involve th...
the list is pretty whack. FF13 should be on the list and remove enchanted arms.
1. Lost Odyssey
2. Tale of Vesperia
3. FF13
4. Blue Dragon
5. Resonance of Fate
1. It is about money
2. Tt could be easier to control hacking issues?
