I didn't swap out the HDD so mine is working fine. This is one of those case where proprietary HDD might be a good thing

so before gamers are stereotypes as fat and lazy. After the e3, i felt like i'm in a room filled with women going through labor. Lots of yelling, grunting and anger. I guess the previous stereotypes weren't bad enough. No offense to the ladies, just an analogy of the situation. Where are the rational gamers at?

you can: 2 possibilities

1.just drive over and give him/her all of your discs (if he/she is close by) and make sure you know them well. I don't know how many time i have lost my games because they got misplaced, or people don't return the games (they lost it, or don't remember to).
2. mailed them to him/her if they are far away (price for shipping have gone up drastically in recent years so think carefully before you do)

so what do we see...

@tarbis

And in 3rd world country, most people are living. in Poverty or worst, starving. The last thing on their mind is not having an internet connection to play games. many don't even know what it is.

If your area don't have reliable connection, it means that the internet providers arent making money there (people can't AFFORD it). If they can't afford something, should they prioritize other NECCESSITY, like job, house, food , instead ...

So where do u think those money going into xlive? Didn't they just expand their server to 300k? Maybe MS treat people smarter than they really are where as Sony have to explain everything because Sony know exactly how they are. It has been said for a longtime that online services required money to maintain, u can't improve a service if there are no money going into it. It is business 101 and i thought people would understand it by now.

The DRM isn't fake, i'm sure of it. But regardless of that issue, this might be more interesting to look at.

It is still unclear about if only 2 people can play the same game at the same time, what about the rest of them? Can they still play other games in the library (i don't think this is the case because it would be worst than used game possibly and sound too good to be true)?

I think this is how it works though:
- only 1 person in your family can access your library, along with you the original owner, and the rest don't have access to that library (unless you kic...

so let me ask you guys this:

DRM is not a new concept and has been around forever. Steam, a very successful digital game services used DRM/Check-in/limited lending (only on selected games and for a short amount of time) are loved by many (50 million users). Apple, Google, or many services that do full digital use some sort of DRM (how else could you control their content?) Game like Diablo 3 also used DRM and u can only play online (it sold >10 million) and people still ...

then i'll buy ALL GAME used on ps4 since Sony give me that consumer rights, why pay more when you can get it cheaper? And I can even lend or give those used game to my group of friends so they can share among themselves as well. Now, I can see why gamers supported Sony. Sony FTW.

Art of War? You are funny. Look what happen to the tablet industry. Bill gate introduce it longs ago, but they didn't push it forward because they think it isn't good at the time. Apple did, and now MS is just want to hang themselves because they can't break into that market since apple dominate in that now. Being the first in the market has it advantage.

@watercross

1. MS orginaly wanted to go full digital (remember the survey they ask if people still want disc support tells me disc support wasn't their original intention because it doesn't really match with their new always connected console). By going full digital, they can probably take the STEAM service route, a very successful services with all the DRM and restriction applies (actually all of this are on PC for ages and no one complaining about it?), yet everyon...

nice chart, although a couple things need editing:

1. PSEye is an add on (not part of the $399)
2. FF15, Kingdom Heart 3, Mad Max are Multiplatform games, not exclusives

lending game to your friend is consider redistribution (it doesn't have to involve money to make it illegal). Let me clarify the copyright:

You do not have the right to copy, sell or redistribute the content (UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES) without the authorization from the IP owner.

Why people haven't got sue over this:
1. consumer are just small fries, why sue someone (for money purpose) when the reason that they sell and buy used games was beca...

get rid of the disc medium and go all digital like they orginaly planned (they did send out a survey to ask if people still want disc), then go the steam route (DRM, "up date" check in, all digital, and dirt cheap games). I'll bet you my left nut that would work, but too late now, people still want disc medium for console, so therefore, MS stuck in situation where they have to support disc medium and can't get the digital contents price down because that would be consider a...

@tiffy

so what is the difference between u signing into apple and use their apps offline vs signing into Clive and then play your game offline? If some how u forget to log in after 24 hrs, can't u just sign when want to play your game? the x360 is always connected to xlive already, so I don't see what is the problem here? They do need to check because u install the game to HDD and u can play without a disc. If they dont do this, how can they make sure that 100 people ...

No, what he meant was that u can access all of your content any where u go and on any mobile devices (people own multiple mobile devices, so how can u give them the ability to connect all of them is the key) instead of being stuck to the console if u want to access your content. I don't think bringing 40 physical discs around with u (which u can only access using a stationary console) would be consider convenient right? That is what he meant by benefit of digital. Just think of how Sony...

it actually doesn't look anything like traditional FF rpg. It looks like a 3rd person action game. Given, it does look pretty good.

4741d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

it sounded like FF15 isn't exclusive to ps platform, since the guys mention about exclusives every chance he gets (even on just small dlc or extra content), but he didn't say anything when it comes to FF15?

There are good reason why it might not be exclusive:
1. it is 3rd party SE
2. this game has probably the longest development time, so selling as much as they can by putting it on more consoles help recuperate the cost.
3. MS also like to go ...

but i thought the idea was to not let it happen, cause one thing lead to another right? They just not gonna stop there. They will start adding a little by little so people get used to it.

But again, that how business works. No money, no improvement (there is no incentive to improve anything if you don't get anything in return for your hard work)
