BC would be really good to have. There are some old classic games that u just couldn't get it anywhere else that u still want to play. But really, there are 130 something million PS2 out there, u don't really need BC. It is good to have or make PS3 even more appealing, but not necessary.

And of course for those 5 to 13 years old group, $220 is all u need to play all the games for the xbox. U should get your eye check before calling someone else blind.

What? U can't be serious. I have been playing all the x360 games from a console that cost me $200, 20$ HDD and $43 1 year live.
Look sleaker than the old model (more techy instead of the George Forman Grill). Good price for the console. It should do really well this holliday season. Good job Sony.

Why do u have 3 PS3s for? Don't get the point of getting more than one if it is not broken or anything. U should buy the slim, trade in your olds one for an x360 and a wii (unless u don't have time to play games). U will become a gamer instead of remaining a fanboy.

i agree with the article, but seriously game play is where it is at or have gamers forget that games are meant to be played, not to look for pixel. No wonder games aren't fun like they used to be.

before you spend more money, go buy yourself a wii, cause seriously, i haven't heard anything about wii breaking down while 360 (RROD, E74?) and PS3 (YLOD, Disc Read Error, HIGH PRICE TAG)
Here are my thoughts:
People buying console based on the PRICE and personnel taste:
Wii = low price + casual (everyone can play = even your grandma can play) + more family oriented games or party games = selling very well
x360 = d...
I actually really enjoy Advent Rising (does have frame rate issues when too many things going at the same time).
The story is really good (Orson Scott famous with the Ender Games book, really good Sci-fi book) and the action is top notch. They suppose to have trilogy but, well majesco already closed down.
Man that also mean there is not gonna be Phantom Dust 2, cause Phantom Dust is one of the best, if not the best, game i ever played.

when PS3 was first release in Europe, did it cost 499 euro something....which equate to $699 which is also the launch price here in US. 499 euro = $699 therefore, $1 =/= 1 euro. Unless the cost of living there is alot higher than the U.S (like the cost of living in Australia for example is alot higher than U.S), then maybe 299 euro = $299 in that sense.
299 euro x (1.4206) = $424.76 for a slim PS3, i don't know if they gonna sell it at that price in the U.S though.
Hopefully they will slash the price for the current PS3 by $100 when the slim arrive.
again....just play games that u guys like....that what these consoles are for, just to play games. Be a gamers, not coporate fanboys.

EXACTLY.....developers see opportunity to make money then they will try to make their games for many console as they can to maximize their profit. Same thing when PS3 "exclusive" goes to x360. MS not paying anything (metal gear, FF13, etc....) (only for exclus...
I think Capcom make better fighting game than SNK. The motion in most SNK fighting games (except Garou) seem really stiff...not smooth which i really hate. It doesn't feel like you are hitting a person (more like hitting a stick).
People should really invest into getting joy stick if they love fighting games. There just isn't any better way to play fighting games.
Blazblue is wow.....better than SF4 for sure.
I don't know about anyone else but FF7 is really overrated (famous probably because it was the first FF in 3D with good looking summon). I don't think the story is anywhere interesting to say the least. My favorite JRPG back then were FF6, FF10, LANDSTALKER, xenogear and chrono trigger.
