@Unreal01
I'm not damage controlling Halo 5. It's an average game at best. Halo is on a decline, it's obvious at this point. As someone who really enjoyed Halo 1-3, the last couple entries, including this one, have not been as memorable to me personally.
So I kindly ask, please don't accuse someone of damage controlling who isn't. I asked these questions out of pure curiosity, nothing more.
I can see why a bit more now.
I was wondering more as to why I was getting disagrees for asking a question. I am in no way defending Halo 5. I am a fan of the series but I can admit the campaign was average but at least my friends and I enjoy the multiplayer together.
And Gran Turismo 6 didn't top in Europe in 2013 if I remember correctly so I don't know if you can do that comparison. Pokemon on the other hand is like Monster Hunter in Japan: unstop...
And I agree the series is on a decline which is why I don't understand why you told me to "face it".
My question to dboyc310 was asking why he specifically targeted Halo 5 when exclusives haven't made the top 10 in a couple years for any consoles. I don't know if you can count Super Smash Bros. in 2014 when it was released on two different systems but the last one before that was Halo 4 in 2012 with an install base of 67 million and even that only sold ...
Yeah true, I can't deny that one bit but you also have to realize the larger install base the Xbox 360 had. Halo 2 is a completely different story on its own.
I don't understand the disagrees either, I'm honestly just asking a question.
I can't speak for others but I personally did not expect it to sell millions upon millions, which is why I questioned why you brought it up.
But look at the NPD's recent years. Every year it's Call of Duty and Madden. Going back the last 4 years, the only exclusives I found to chart in the top 10 were Halo 4, Gear of War 3, and Super Smash Bros.
Yeah that is true but you're also looking at a game that has only been out for roughly 2 months on a single console with a smaller install base than its competition. I don't think anyone honestly thought it would make the top 10.
Not one exclusive title made it in the top 10 (which isn't all that surprising) so I gotta ask: why mention Halo 5 but not any other exclusive titles that were released this year? Like Bloodborne or Splatoon? Granted, those are new IPs but I don't understand why Halo 5 is specifically targeted?
I'd honestly be amazed if Halo 5 was in the top 10 considering it was only on the market in 2015 for roughly 2 months on a single console.
It's due to my tight budget honestly. I'm trying(and it sucks) to limit myself to three games each platform this year. The games I listed are the ones that came out on top when creating my list. For example, I wouldn't mind playing ReCore, Persona 5, or Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD, but I can't afford everything, sadly.
When I actually get money though, you bet I'm getting those games.
These types of articles/videos are getting tiresome and repetitive. It all boils down to preference.
Now personally for me, I'm excited for what all three have to offer.
On Playstation 4: Ratchet & Clank, Uncharted 4, and Horizon Zero Dawn
On Xbox One: Gears of War 4, Quantum Break, and Halo Wars 2
On Wii U: Star Fox Zero, Pokken Tournament, and Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem.
I would have liked to listed more but, sadly, I&...
So people are aware of what this article is saying, Brandyn Engbrecht is saying how difficult the transition from PC to consoles was, not console to console.
“It’s quite a bit different building on a console as compared to building on PC/Mac platforms. Initially, I found myself having to go back and rework its coding so that it would function properly on consoles."
On PS4, I was able to tackle Bloodborne by myself and platinum the game which has given me bragging rights against my friends on Playstation.
On Xbox One, I was able to tackle Halo 5 on Legendary by myself and complete it all the way through which has also given my bragging rights against my friends on Xbox.
On Wii U, my girlfriend and I can enjoy Yoshi's Woolly World together and admire the cuteness within the game. The game doesn't give me bragging rights necessaril...
Well I personally agree Ryse: Son of Rome looks great, this list for games that came out in 2015; Ryse came out in 2013.
Personally speaking, The Order 1886 in regards to realistic graphics because at one point in the game, I felt the character models actually looked like real people. As for a smaller indie title, I really liked how Fast Racing Neo looked considering how small the development team was and the hardware limitations they faced.
Aesthetically-pleasing, personally again, is Yoshi's Woolly World because my girlfriend and I love how adorably cute everything looks. I also have to g...
@Majin-vegeta
"Uhhh because it's still considered gaming news wether you like it or not."
There is no need to reply aggressively, I don't like or hate that this is considered news; I, personally, find it pointless. It's obvious the Xbox brand is not popular in Japan and has been known for years so why keep posting on how poorly it's doing? It's beating a dead horse.
What I don't understand is how reporting poor Xbox One sales in a country they are nowhere near popular in compared to the other consoles is still considered newsworthy.
I do apologize for that, I didn't mean to come off that way.
