Yeah, at least some limited form of LAN play would have been awesome
Most probably, Blizzard is simply taking as much people as possible into bnet, thats all. It is not like piracy is going to stop once they take out LAN, too much optimistic.
Yeah, lots of rural villages and stuff. But you know what, China is economically growing like crazy, so in the near future that market is going to grow exponentially. No wonder Blizzard is investing so much in that area

Every game Blizzard rolls out is a cash cow. Even DII is still selling these days. And of course WoW just ends up being the largest of those Cows

And I think this is the first patch in terms of troubles after its release. Servers are collapsing, games lagging, players being dropped. But they'll fix it all soon (hopefully)
The point is, there's not any restriction on map's quality for them to be published. So, one could post early test versions of maps.
Because they foresee lots of people buying the game, so space could become an issue. Ie, 1M units sold on they one (and that is reductive, counting in preoders) multiplied 20MB, 20TB space only for user's maps. They most likely don't want more stress than this on their infrastructure just on release

Well, the 18+ rating on SC2 was really a bit stretched to being with, clearly an attempt by the networks to gain a somewhat stronger grip on eSport's broadcasts
LOL, another huuuuuge patch. And a lot of great changes, Im only really concerned about the Ultralisk. I mean, the damage change is sweet, but lowering its hp, I'm not at all with this, it will die even quicker against units with good damage bonus vs armored. Poor scissors
