In a couple of months maybe, even if its fully possible right now those who make these things need time to learn how the ps3 functions. Homebrew is easy, just code them lika any other ps3 application. Things like backup managers are harder because they require slight modifications in the gameos. Things like native mkw player and ntfs support require large modifications but are fully possible.
Ive been waiting for a unthetered 3gs new bootrom 4.2.1 jailbreak for monts, if people had said the ps3 would get hacked before the latest iso i would have laughed at them but there you go.

Completely agree, didnt the fof guys ask him not to release the keys so they could create some tools that made piracy harder but he released them anyway?

Nah, 250 maeby, they want to sell as many consoles as possible. That way developers wont care if there are piracy or not. An expect a new hardware revision to fix this.
Basically what happened. They held off releasing the code to limit piracy but he just copied their hack and published the keys on the net.

Indeed piracy is the reason. The otheros linux was crappy, but the new linux the ps3 will get will be pretty awesome.
You ask why wrong cant be wrong? Well thats impossible because wrong cant be scientifically proven. One can say that wrong only exists in peoples minds, and that means there are about 6 billion versons. Now society tries to unify these views by making laws and such but that can only get you so far. There are several gray zones. Comparing ourselves to other people is only narural, we all are trying to figure ut where in society we fit best.
Regarding piracy i think its wron...
You have two choices.
1. You buy it new and support the developer.
2. You get it some other way and dont support the the developers.
Either you support the developers or you dont, as black and white as it gets. What to do on the other hand everyone have to figure out for themselves.
