Still, some people, like me, preferes to buy downloadable games on psn because of the less extensive DRM.
The only way i could try and isolate what made sotc so special is to campare it to ico. Its what ico tried to do but really didnt pull off.
Seriously if tlg has only half the improvements that made it into sotc... i dont know if i even dare play it...i know it will bee so sad, why are the greatest games/movies/books always the sad ones...Now that is tragic:D

Youre a lucky man, they didnt even sell those in the EU. I think sony should do two things, one release a patch that let you remove the ps3 harddrive and just shove into another one, like the ps2 memory cards. And two, release a usb device that contains the ps2 hardware( like the rumors). Now if they let the console charge controllers in standby and added .srt support it would be fantastic. And have you guys seen the in game xmb that pops up while watching a movie? Well at least use that one ...

Both SoTC and snake eater have some of the greatest endings ever, however what put SoTC above in my book is the fact the gameplay tells the story. In snake eater you have pretty much a whole novel of dialogue to build up to the ending, and powerful as it may be(almost made me cry) SoTC have a equally emotional ending even though the dialogue of the entire game fits onto a sheet of paper.
Snake eater may be the greater movie, but in my mind SoTC is the greater game.
SoTC is probably the worst game ever to judge by videos, you have to play it to understand its greatness.
Well id place them SoTC, MGS3 and then ico. But thats just me. Still those are probably the top of my greatest games ever list so id say you have a excellent taste in games:D
Wouldnt call Fable, Forza, crackdown and gears(i can see why some would like it). and i wouldnt call live unmatched, i mean just look at steam, and its free!
You see people got different oppinions and you shouldnt pass yours off as fact. I do believe the ps3 is 2.9 million consoles behind and thats without subtracting all the rrod consoles. Would be interesting to know how many functional consoles of every kind that is out there. Of the nine people i know with 360s seven have had the rrod, of those three bought new ones. Of the eight people i know with ps3s none have failed and no one have bought a new one. I dont know if this is a isolated case but it would be interesting to know.
The x86 architecture, which is in the 360, is over 30 years old, so i werry much doubt its newer then the cell.
Used to play alot of coop after the launch of r2, i was really surprised when one day all of a sudden the stalkers started to move!
People say that all 360 models has bc, yet my arcade wouldnt play my halo 2 disc, kept blabbing about insufficiant storage. The only console this gen who seems to have proper bc is the wii. And even it have had remakes, called new play controll or something. Bought metroid prime 1 and 2 with widescreen and 480p and it was great.
I just know that if sony said no to the ico collection id be pissed!

The four gb is flash memmory though. Still a damn shame not every 360 comes with a harddrive, would have fixed the limits dvd put on a game like gta4. Cant microsoft just put a sticker on the case that states needs a harddrive to work?
The reason they upgrade the hard drive is not to be nice but to put the cheapest hard drive possible into the console. A new 20 gb hard drive is shire to be more expensive then a 160 gb harddrive simply because nobody make them anymore.
I dont like game, used to live in a small town and the game there bought out the competition so they could have a monopoly. Bussines wise it was a great move but as a gamer i despise it!
Isnt rapture supposed to be att the bottom of the atlantic ocean in our world? Cant really see th difference between uncharted and bioshock in this regard. That said i wouldnt want to go to anyone of those worlds. Would like to go to the katamari world though.
