Sony, how about trying to create a cheaper model instead of a more expensive one. This may be a good idea once the PS3 gets to an established price, and the parts become less costly. I think they're on the right track with the 40GB, not so much with this.

I'd like to believe that I'm a devout Christian, but even I think the Church is taking this too far. First of all, it's a game, and second of all, you were clearing the Church out of the aliens who had made their breeding ground their - Not desecrating anything.
Believe me buddy, I do far more than just sit and play video games all day, but when I get a game, I want to finish it as soon as possible.

One year early? I think that would have been slightly too late. Yes, there are numerous advantages to having released this year, but then Sony wouldn't have 5 million units sold, and would thus be 5 million behind. And at the rate the PS3 is selling now, 5 million is ALOT!
Sony had the timing right. They just need games and a price drop.
P.S. About the games....I guess that problem is starting to go away, but there's still the obstacle of the price.

Have you even glanced over the specs for any of these consoles? Yes, both the 360 and PS3 are very powerful, but the PS3 definitely overpowers the 360 in terms of specs.

I actually think that the Halo 1 campaign was better than Halo 2 and 3's campaigns. As far as multiplayer, yes Halo 3 does outshine its predecessors.
I really don't think this is true. Microsoft would be INCREDIBLY STUPID to let Bungie go. After all the success with Halo, letting Bungie go is the last thing they would want to do.

I'm playing HL2 at the moment, and I would hate for a game like that to go away and be replaced with online multiplayer. Online gaming should be an addition to the single player part of the game, not replace the entire thing unless the focus of the game is multiplayer (WoW, CS, etc.)

Reasonable action would be to confiscate the 360 and try to get it back to its rightful owner. And then ground the child, or something of the sort.
Just give it up already. Sony isn't stupid enough to let go of their last 2 REALLY big 3rd party exclusives. They have already seen what damage losing a huge exclusive can do (GTAIV).
I did not see this coming at all. This shows what a simple model change and a great game (FF7:Crisis Core) can do. This should teach Sony a valuable lesson.
I wonder if a slimmer PS3 when FFXIII comes out would have the same effect on that....
This guy seems very reasonable and brings up some very good points.
