Gamestop? When does anyone shop there anyways? There are deals to be had everywhere, but good ones on new games at that. You just gotta look for truck jumpers who sell on Amazon or Ebay.
Good game. The one and only Psn game I can honestly say that is worth the 15 dollar asking price. Such a nostalgic and at the same time, new experience. Too bad Sony couldn't keep this one quarantined to the PS3. These developers should be on payroll.
I love how gamers love to live, dwell, dream and breath in the past. Everything comes back to remakes or ideas used a million times over.
Common things you'll hear a gamer say
"Man, why won't they make a FF7 remake exclusive for the Ps3?"
"I'd play the next Resident Evil if it had zombies and was in a mansion or city. And if it was exclusive to Ps3"
"When are they going to remake Killer ...
This game just doesn't appeal to me. At all. I've given it a go and it's just not worth a 15 dollar asking price. It's just not. This game is tedious and boring. Another game where fanboys run out and try to latch on to the "new" because it's deemed to be so.
Limbo looks hot to me. It does. Style and animations are very slick. But even if they weren't, everyone would swing from its sack because it's 2-d and people think anything retro, simple and throwback = epic!!!!
It's absurd to think this way but this is the mind of the delusional, one dimensional gamer. It's like that one game where you play as a condom in a woman's vagina. Everyone is swinging on that games sack and it's stupid. For what? Why...
VS ideas were popular, what, back in the 90's and early 2000's? Please. Let's not do this. Fighting games already suffer from a lack of innovation as it is. What kills me is when people think adding a super duper name on the box, new fighters and costumes to a game, not to mention a handful of new levels, constitutes innovation and a worthy buy. The fighting genre fans, all of them, are the reason why the genre hasn't moved forward since the mid 90's.
Horrible idea. Horrible thought. Just entertaining the notion of Mario and Microsoft makes me regurgitate a little bit. Don't put Mario anywhere near these guys, Nintendo. Sony too. There should be mainstays in the world - Mario is one of those.
I looked at Donut Drake as a waste of a good skin. The one thing I hate about Uncharted games, is the skins are not tied to the cut scenes. They say Uncharted is all real time but the skins prove otherwise. The skins prove there is a stationary model for Drake in story arcs. One that doesn't change appearance when using skins. To me the skins take you out of the story. Drake must be superman to change that fast and then change back in time for the next level arc.
I love them both. Equally, and yet differently at the same time. For different reasons and times I suppose.
Wasn't this common knowledge? It seems more like a reassurance post than anything, Ease the pain on those poor kids who don't own a ps3.
Seems pretty limiting the way you put it. As if you took away all the credit I gave Rockband for singing and drumming. Nice work. On a side note, Dani Harrison is said to have been on-board for the next iteration so I am confident that it'll expand the worth of the product a bit. I'm sure it'll be more inclined to teach than the past versions have.
I'm all for it.
The only thing Rockband can help you with, musically, is singing. Pitch and range still need the kinks looked at though. The drums are slightly servicable too. The guitar and bass are a joke. It should have been called drum or vocal band to be honest.
I never trudged through KZ2. It is still sitting on my shelf. I think I made it to level 3 or 4 before It bored me to tears. Maybe this one will change that. GOW3 is another one I can't seem to yawn my way through. All these high profile Sony games just feel blah to me.
Didn't know PS3 owners couldn't express their opinions here. Strange. If I loved the game and blew smoke up everyone's @$$ over it you'd probably love me and lobby and lavish me with bubbles.
I own a Ps3. I only own a Ps3 as a next gen system. That makes me authorized to say what I want and how I want to. I am a consumer. One who spends lots of money on Sony products. Sony only products at that. Shut up and move on.
(edit for @blasian...
Only because I don't own an xbox 360 for these awesome high profile games that will be better on that system.
Also exclusive to the PS3 is the murky, washed out graphics we've all come to know and love from high profile multiplatform games. Games like Red Dead Redemption, Batman Arkham, COD 4, 5 and MW2 and so, so many others. It's great to be a PS3 owner, just not when your xbox360 friends are over.
Going around in a circle doesn't scream innovation to me. Racing games haven't evolved past graphics and customization. I don't think they can. I know this one will be just like all the other GT games before it. A racing game is a racing game is a racing game. Simple as that.
UMMMM RETRO STUDIOS says hi. Metroid prime series. Heard of it?
I think the end is nigh for used games and I welcome it with open arms. At the same time I also welcome Digital Downloads as mainstay, and with that expect a 10 to 15 dollar price drop for the games too, No book. No resell value. No middle man. Just our system, us and the company who supplies it. We are the middle man now. We're gonna have to feel some relief in our pocketbooks or gaming will go the way of the dinosaur again.
