i wouldnt think its more powerful because regardless the hardware on both ps4/x1 are similar. The online component of both systems is a difference maker. The cloud seems like it can add dimensions to games in addition to a better multiplayer experience.
Now ps4 also will be able to utilize their own version of cloud but they're saying its more for storage purposes.
Its like extra credit... sonys betting it will ace the test with no need for extra credit. ...
So not trueeee... the pic/video were photoshoped? Or not true it wasn't a redline of death. Well the article said that the consoles were working once they cooled down. I seen this movie before from MS and Sony.
Im honestly concerned now about buying a launch console because of this type of issue. Yahoo had an article over the summer where some in the tech community were concerned over the Ps4's casing because it was so small and the design didnt make it optimized for ...
I wouldnt trust neither sony or Microsoft. They are both in a business to make money. Where they can cut corners and reap profits they will.
Both my ps3 and 360 failed and was replaced. I chalk it up to being a gamer, but if i werent a working man and couldnt afford to replace them i would be pissed.
Wii U will never breakdown because you will struggle to find games to play on it. Aye as long as you clean the dust off that bad boy every couple weeks you'll be ok. lmfaooooooo
hate wii's, i let my girlfriend play it so she stays away from the ps4/x1 when i buy them.
This was to be expected some say. There was an article posted on this site about a month ago where some engineers voiced concern that the PS4 was gonna be prone to overheating because the case is too small and possible improper ventilation.
Some high end gaming PC's have extensive cooling mechanisms so maybe PS4 will have an accessory to deal with cooling at release. Sheesh.... Not this shit again.
@JokesOnYou brings up a valid point. Out of All the next-gen titles on both systems, i see very few next gen quality. Here's where i see next-gen:
-Killzone (ps4)
-Ryse (X1)
-Drive Club Ps4
-Deep Down (ps4)
-Dead Rising (x1)
-TitanFall (x1) (not graphically next gen but in scope)
Most of the other launch titles look like ps3/x360 hd games. Exclusive wise i think there will be game changers coming like Halo and hope...
alot of Know it alls on this site... if all this were so easy, ms and sony wouldnt be paying engineers and tech geeks 75,000/100,000 and up.
Both systems have strengths and flaws, lets see what happens. I just want top notch games for both my ps4 and x1. Thanks
This is usually a display issue. Even though im getting both Ps4 and X1, Microsoft is doing a absolute horrendous job with its PR. They are letting sony take pop shots all over the place even though there are a few advantages the X1 has over Ps4 while giving up most of the hardware specs to ps4.
-More Exclusive Titles
-Exclusive time released content
-User Interface looks tons better than Ps4
-Xbox Lives online community and R&D is miles ahead. Es...
no real news here... but looks good still. im actually lowering my expectations for both ps4 and x1's first year of games while developers grasp the coding. if rockstar can do gta5 on current gen then imagine the next gen
ummm ok im reading the tweets expecting GOD AwFUl reviews... seems like it had a decent showing. I still wanna see it with 32 v 32 before i get it on X1. Ps4 is for my exclusives, all multiplayer games go on my X1. Sony does online terrible even tho its free. I'll never forget that one month blackout. smfh
@mikeslemonade you mention the price $499.99 is what will keep X1 at 50 million units. Ok bro... lets think back to when ps3 released at $599 years ago....
yeah... this will be interesting cause this definitely sounds like Xbox Ones Situation that caused uproar
looks nice visually... would love both ps4 and xbox to give the next gen games more depth. I seen some beautiful titles like this and Ryse, but im not really a hack n slash guy tho i will give a pass on God of War which has depth.
wouldnt really call it next gen... only because any game that is on both ps3 and 360 can't fully live up to its potential...
but this game looks decent enough to get me by
this is exactly the point some have been talking about. The suppliers and assembly lines have to get the ps4's to the store shelves. If there is a repeat of the ps3 disaster launch, that can't be a good thing. I remember at launch it after i got my ps3 it took my boys 8-10 weeks to get their 3.
And now im getting concerned that both ps4 and x1 will rush out faulty equipment, with Ps4 officials saying they want to put out 5 million units by years end. I've been con...
graphically Deep Down is impressive. But like X1's "Ryse"... the story line sounds a little off. Besides the graphics i don't see much here innovative or aw inspiring. I do understand that the 1st generation launch titles are only gonna scrape the surface.
When you say next-gen, games should not only be gorgeous graphically but there should be much more depth. Compare this to Metal Gear and then make your case about impressive.
not really... consumers are like sheep. That top 100 list will be everywhere including media outlets. It will push sales of x1. Specially for ppl who want ps4 but have to wait for restock.
I worked management at TRU when i came out of college. The top 100 list is decided on a few things. Not doubting that money played a part in X1 making top 100 which most wouldn't know. But alot has to do with stock/alotment. If microsoft is guaranteeing a substantial supply of x1's, (which will most likely sell as a direct competitor to ps4), TRU stands to gain. Contrary to belief, retailers do not make a high margin on hardware... its the bundles, software, and especially accessories...
keeping it honest... metal gear was originally a nintendo game waaaaaaaay back
Sony not being big on dedicated servers is nothing new. People have to understand that these companies are in this for money. Sony's online service was free for YEARS while MS was charging $50 per year with a larger online community...basically thats a lot of money MS made that went into those big bank accounts while also rolling some of that money back into re-invest in the future of online.
Notice how Sony isnt giving away the farm and will now charge to play games onli...
