No. Get your info straight before you repost some amateur articles. Xbox one uses hypervisor which let's devs take all 7 GB of ram for gaming if needed. Not only that but also Xbox One was built from ground up with dx 11.2 in mind. That's why fast eSRAM and modified DDR3 (it's faster than GDDR5) were used. Check out MS demo of them showing tilling, where scenes that would use 3GB of RAM, use only 16 MB of ram with that technology. Graphic quality is not just about GPU power and yo...
No. It looks more like he screwed up with his ideas ALWAYS ONLINE and DRM. Now he's getting his punishment.
@Angrymorgan
Ow yea the T-Rex demo blew me away when I got my psone (big jump for me from sega saturn!). Never saw a game with that kind of graphics on psone. Will be same here. When you're not watching pre-made scene where everything is baked in but actually playing a game it's much much more complicated.
@Abriael
But when developer says something good about XO you believe what N4g folks say not him. How Ironic.
@FlunkinMonkey
Aw, did I hurt your feelings? Just because I got all the disagrees it proves my point! Thanks N4g you are the best!
isn't it funny how suddenly every person on n4g is expert in console architecture, knows exactly the way software works and so on? Maybe all of you should get hired at Sony! I'm sure they would take such experts right away!
1080p and 60 fps is more than enough.
Are you aware that there is much more to a gaming system than number on RAM and GPU? Are you aware than xbox one has hypervisor (look it up if you posses that skill) move engines and esram? You have any idea why MS went with MODIFIED (yes upgraded) DDR3? XBOX ONE was built from ground up to be running on directX 11.2 with tilling in mind. For tilling you need fast RAM and DDR3 is way faster than GDDR5. How does tilling work? Check out new video they've released. Basicly, a scene that req...
It was fkin stated on e3 on stage that there will be no ADS so please stop spreading lies.
he has a point. People like you see some numbers and automatically assume they know everything. Architecture and software matters more than you think. XO was build for DX 11.2 and when DX 11.2 , with move engines, esram and hypervisor, can render a scene using 16MB ram when normally it would use 3 GB of ram then YES specs are meaningless. Please research, you're making gaming community look stupid.
It's exactly why MS chose it and added esram and move engines. Why? because XO uses DirectX 11.2 which can display a scene that would use 3GB of ram, using only 16MB of ram..16 MB!! That's the power of directX 11.2 . look it up. MS knows what they're doing. It was all well planned. You need fast ram for this.
@Cuzzo63
No. Please get your info straight. Xbox can use even 7GB for games. Please research about hypervisor in xbox one. They can totally turn off RAM needed for OS or compress it a lot and use most of ram for a game.

esram and move engines is where the power is. Xbox One was build for directX 11.2 . If you would watch the demo they showed a scene that uses 3GB of ram. With their technology it used only 16 MB of ram. Move engines can also render separately 2d objects such as UI in super high res while rendering the 3d game on totally different layer in different resolutions independently, without using any GPU resources. Software and architecture is the secret sauce.
You do realise that xbox one comes with 12 months xbox live gold? It's included in the bundle...so you'll have 3 years.
In one of e3 demos you can see them browse through menu, and there is MULTIPLAYER so for sure we will see something there. I bet it will be co-op gladiator arena with waves of enemies!
I'd rather pay extra for new high quality headset than have ability to use any random headset. Why? It will end up with what I experienced with Killzone on ps3. Everyone use crap headsets that pick up fart noises,children crying, guests talking, dogs barking 5 streets away, someone eating chips.. and so on and so on. I just couldn't stand playing like that!
NO he didn't...stop being delusional. If they wanna confirm it, they will say' TItanfall is comming to ps4 later or in 2015 or whatever" so SHUSH stop spreading lies.
no trolls here? Oh right, it's cool and fantastic when sony consoles get bricked from firmware. Same article about 360 getting bricked would be hottest topic forever.
I LOVE SONY (making sure not gonna get too many downvotes)
Completely wrong. Software actually matters more than hardware. Why? Game that is not coded well, will get you maybe even only 1 FPS on a newest gaming rig (or won't even launch at all!) well coded game will run perfectly on 10x less powerfull system and will have better visuals.
Can software be recreated? It's not that easy, reason why sony DID NOT recreate what kinect is able to do, because software for it was in developement for years and they won't just let a...
@GuyThatMakesSense
That's a completely different thing. Things like LOD and other tilling in openGL gives you VERY visible downgrade in visual quality and still consumes whole lot of RAM. Tiled Resources gives no visual downgrade at all and uses almost 200 TIMES less RAM. If it wouldn't be something new, Industry wouldn't be so excited about it.
