According to some sources this was supposed to be done with watchdogs. THe cloud computing. PS4 did hold it back. Good that truth about cloud finally comes out. No denying it now when games actually use it. Where are now the trolls saying " TEH POWER OF TEH CLOUD LOL!"?
And no, ps4 can not do exactly what XO can. Why? XO was built from ground up for cloud. If you look at blueprints, xbox one ethernet connection goes shortest way, straight to GPU. It was made for a r...
too long game is not great for me but 4-6 hours is way too short.
Quantum break. It's amazing what they're doing with so many morphable objects on the screen. Nothing comes close to it so far. It costs so much processing power it puts other titles to shame.
It does look cleaner and nicer overal. Funny thing is that's metro UI which was originally designed by MS and now is in all MS devices including xbox one (just way more fancy). I'm all up for it. Just surprised that people here on n4g like it, considering they always said xbox one interface blows.
I got 2 of XO's already. For me and for my wife.
I'm eager to see halo wars 2!
Graphics is just half of the pie. Sound in last gameplay trailer blew me away!
Probably 50% of the costs is marketing. Game devs don't earn that much...unless you are really high in office food chain.
Wish I had time to play this kind of games :( they were my favos. I bought witcher on release day and played it only for 6 hours :(
No. Before patch XO was running at dynamic 1080p with average of 36 FPS , reaching 40 at times. Get your info straight, troll.
Most recent patch that was actually meant mainly for ps4, screwed up XO version a bit but still runs at almost steady 30. Ps4 version tends to drop to 18 FPS. Check the comparisons.
Same situation happened with Assassins creed unity. CPU heavy games struggle on ps4 with lower framerates and lack of anisotropic filtering. That is a bot...
Call of duty has sales over the roof. Is it an amazing game? Sales =/= great game.
Played through whole 5 campaigns with my wife in co-op and had ZERO issues. Played only few competitive MP matches without a problem as well. MCC is a piece of art and one of best game deals I ever made. That 60 FPS in new engine changes everything.
Shame how other devs just increase resolution and pretend it was so hard to do. I have an emulator of Wii on my pc and I can play all the games in 1080p 60fps better lighting, better textures, better anisotropic filtering, better...
One of few PC games I really loved to play. It's damn addicting!
It is? Then where is the 50% difference? Funny, cause recently XO games run smoother at same resolution as ps4 version without having problems with Anisotropic Filtering (Witcher? Assassins Creed?). Sure ps4 might be faster in some aspects, but it looses in other. Delusional are the ones that claim ps4 is some kind of wonder machine and destroy XO in every way.
yes, which is not sony bound. I'm in Europe and XO is doing grea over here.
That's surprising as the game looks stunning. Best looking game at e3 IMO. That snow and fluid! Seriously no other game has such fluid physics. Looked like taken straight from Realflow (google up those who don't know much about movie effects tech)
holysh!t that was awesome!
Yes, works worse on both version. XO was running at average of 35 going up to 40. Then they've put a 30 fps cap. It was butter smooth 30 fps. Now dips to 22 at times? WTH! In addition, they almost completely turned off foliage physics on ps4 in cut-scenes see 1:14 onwards.
Loving it! I'm just not sure about the camera changing during the conversations. I always thought it's more immersive to see everything from 1st person perspective. That always made me feel like I'm talking to NPC's not the character I'm controlling. I can see they wanted to give a bit more life to hero, but I'm nto so sure it's the right way to go.
got all the expansions from my limited edition. Stopped playing it before release of first expansion. Don't plan to come back...it was my most anticipated game. Long live ESO!
