No, people who said that clearly didn't know what they were talking about. I mean, having played the game, it's nothing like Motorstorm. The similarities end pretty much in the fact both are off-road racers. And Fuel even has a lot of actual roads to drive in.
Every time I look to this guy's weekly post about his show I just facepalm. What is this guy doing here? This is a site for gaming news, not a site for random, steriotyped guys to post their personal opinions. Why do these articles get accepted onto the first page in the first place?

The "Crysis" stuff... I found it, at least in this crappy low-res trailer, to be very, very close to the High/Gamer settings of the Crysis games. It seems much closer to high than medium. The trees look very good, the draw distance is pretty big, the lighting is definitely of a much higher quality than the Medium settings, the character models are solid... The motion blur has the same awesome effect as in the game... As I said, it looks on par with High imo.

Yeah I suppose they're not, but I was expecting to see something new rather than overhauled TDU1 pictures, although there is an off-road car in the main menu image... I really hope they extend the maximum number of players you can see while cruising.
I got really excited when I read the news' title but the images seem fake. The GPS picture features the TDU1 map, and the picture on the airport is from TDU1 as well (the mini map gives it away). These look like nothing more than TDU1 with a new HUD thrown in in Photoshop.
I know there's that image with the rain but it still looks just taken from TDU1... Maybe devs are testing/developing stuff on the first game before moving them on to the new map.
They're keeping the game as hardcore as it is, but they're also providing an arcade style approach for those who WANT it.
So if you're considering the arcade approach, they MIGHT be able to port it to 360 with the arcade/simplified mechanics.
Then again, the graphics wouldn't be comparable so I'd still take the game on PC any day of the week.
