The last FF game I completed. Also felt like the most Western of the series to me. It did have this weird aspect where if done properly, your party used gambits and you seldom had to do anything as far as attacks. Still a solid entry.
One of the best game-delivered narratives that I ever experienced. I would almost agree, but the gameplay itself would be too much for most to get past. Just because gamers loved it, this is not the type of game that brings non-gamers in droves. It is dark, violent and intense and likely to push many away. Sure after playing through the Uncharted games, the gameplay was easy for most, but to a non-gamer? That is a higher bar.
This is unfortunate. I know that many developers, are pretty liberal people and I think that is fine. I don't want to live in a world where everybody agrees with me. Having said that, when my game developers become political and it affects the games, I get annoyed. I like Irrational games, because they make good games, not for their politics. They are as qualified to discuss politics as anybody on the street and I rely on them for games, not the news. This New millennium trend of drawing ...
You are correct in terms of how they will likely bake in relatively meaningless VR "experiences" to their AAA games and if PSVR fails, they never stopped working on what sells. Then again the same was the case with 3D gaming as well. Of course that one had far less of a startup cost.
I think in the case of Kojima's next game he has a point. 2019? Game engine just chosen, nothing really done with it? I am sure it will be awesome, but the number of stories I have already seen about it are silly. Given that Silent Hills never happened, it is not 100% outside the realm of possibility that this game could become vaporware, or change drastically between now and release. At least wait until there is actually something to show before doing so much press.
1-6: Confirmation Bias
I am, so stoked for this, that it really says something about the past few entries, that the original Modern Warfare is still one of the best.
I am not convinced this is that big of a deal. Seems to me, only a small percentage of folks are going to go out and blow 400 on a new console around the time sony also expects tons of folks to shell out 400 for a new vr bundle. I imagine that early adopters were always going to jump and anybody who doesn't already have one, will certainly get the pro. Outside of that, I am guessing it will be several months or more before the Pro's advantages are documented and showcased to the consu...
I can attest to "not" having technical issues on my PC version of Recore. Now I have a high-powered rig and unlocked the frame rate and that certainly helps. Also haven't noticed a load screen longer than 6-8 seconds
For the record, playing Recore on my PC I have had no issues with loading or the framerate. May just be a game that runs better on the PC.
Hey great, let thousands and thousands of folks beta test and do the leg work for you. If after a month or so people are still hyped, at that time look into getting one.
I will give the PSVR visual fidelity claims the "pepsi challenge" when I get mine on release. As much as PC gamers love to rip on console gamers in general, I think they definitely have their own fanboyism down perfectly.
I have a bit of a nuanced feel for this. I am excited, as VR is fun and more VR is not a bad thing in my mind. However, having the Rift and the Vive and having experienced some truly amazing games and experiences, I am concerned as to how well the PSVR will perform in comparison.
If it doesn't look good enough or perform well enough, that could be an issue given that its vastly lower preice point will likely be the entry point for millions of people into VR. My first V...
In 2016, how can anybody take this guy seriously? I have enjoyed my WIIU, but the fact remains that they have released few of the mainstays I really wanted, Metroid and Zelda. While I am sure I will get the NX, if for no other reason than disposable income, I am not as hopeful as I once would have been.
What would be the fun in that? Nope, I far prefer the narrative, as presented, without any context provided and the conversations that ensue. I can go elsewhere for the story :)
Well-said and there is really nothing to add here. Glass houses and all that.
While this whole thing is ridiculous and I question those who think it is a good thing, I am tired of people throwing out terms like "rape culture" and pretending like that is a real thing. That is BS. There is sexism and misogyny, but there is nobody out there advocating for the rape of anybody.
I will wait for more feature complete information, software support and direct hands-on. March is a ways off anyways and for me the mobile aspect is not a factor. I am old school in that I read while on the train, I just cannot make myself enjoy hand-helds anymore.
