as much as i hate the direction ms is going i wouldnt do a dam thing when it comes to the casual market by backing off.
I would love a more hardcore approach but lets remember we all thought the wii would flop, now i agree that at least when NIN showed off the wii it was with games we wanted unlike kinect.

A part of me says its fail, just like when they pushed the original camera for the 360 that supposedly tracks movement and such, it was used in 3 games and it sucked bad.

yeah the whole thing was meh, sony did good, ms did ok to meh and nintendo did well for what it was and they had the 3ds which graphically looks impressive but after all the dust has settled the 3d aspect of it is a total novelty and is depth 3d and not actual 3d so the pop out 3d effect aint happening. nice and cool and with the hot gfx its a win but still the whole e3 was meh.
this is what upsets me as well, all 3 companies know the eyes on them at e3. DID ms not get that message or did ms not just care and that bothers me.
if oyur going to try to ram KINECT down my throat then at least impress me with the product, dont have everyone watching saying a big WTF? themselves.

I dont agree at all, I am a 360 buff myslef but as of today things might change and heres why.
I was truly excited about kinect, knowing well before that it was going to be geared towards the casual but i was excited knowing that i can control my 360 with it and I still am very excited about that and the voice control as well but when it came to kinect games I was like WTF? they are all avatar based games that look no better then xbla games, now some are interesting for sure ...

i can see it now, everyone goes out and buys a new 3dtv for 2000+ in the next 5 years and then a month after that the new 3d tv's with no glasses will all appear, and then what.
3d is a great thing, but it aint taking off anytime soon, they shot themselves in the foot releasing it 4 years to late.

but i might try the actual game, i doubted split second after the crappy demo but the actual game is amazing.
