Hey, a big complaint with CoD for a while now is that it's the same old thing again and again. Like you said, the Blackout mode "doesnt feel QUITE like regular MP CoD"...maybe that is the appeal? Classic CoD MP will be doing its normal thing, Zombies, and then Blackout doing its thing. Treyarch is actually changing up the CoD series this time around(while still feeling like CoD) And people are intrigued

I never understood this. FPS games still to this day, have a Team Deathmatch style mode. A CTF mode, Point captures, Free for All etc...
Thats what you look for in Competitive multiplayer shooters...and each game has their own flavor to it.
This is the same. I get if you;re not a huge fan of the mode, or you get tired of it easily...but getting played out in general? Would have to disagree
It's a mode in a Call of Duty game...that plays like Call of Duty. Not many games play like CoD in the business...and if they do, they don't do it as well. They dont need to get any more "unique" for a game mode
Thoroughly enjoyed playing Blackout. 3 weeks ago, I wasnt jumping for joy necessarily over BO4(just based on the small amount they showed), and have been flabbergasted by how EA/DICE have absolutely destroyed the Battlefield series...don't need to get into that garbage....
But, after playing Blackout, I'm actually excited to play a CoD game again. See if they have a solid number of maps,guns, modes...it would be a great game

I'm tired of people talking about these games as a genre. It is a FPS...with Team Deathmatch, CTF, Gun Game, Blackout etc....
It is a mode. A mode that Call of Duty now has. When Call of Duty was doing Team Deathmatch in the early days...was it a "generic Team Deathmatch game"?
