EA way overpaid for Codemasters. So, moves like this were inevitable. The Codemasters purchase was an underhanded move to prevent their competitor Take-Two from Buying them. From what I read in early reports Take-two were going to revive Midnight Club, change F1 to F1 2K23 and move a lot of the Devs to Rockstar to improve the racing in GTA. EA being EA got scared.

Rockstar are working on 2 titles + GTA6. I can confirm neither of Those titles are Red Dead 3. Were 7yrs minimum away form a Red dead 3. By the way Rockstar have been working on a Medieval elder scrolls style game.
