I owm a PS3 and this REVIEW 9/10 is complete BS i paid over 700 dollars for my PS3 with 2 games and a joypad.He lost me when he said I don't mind a few frame rate dips into the 20's here and there, if it's for the purpose of making an otherwise amazing looking game.I cant believe he said he can deal with a game running 20fps,this is the PS3 not the PS2.The PS3 should not Struggle to run Games at 30fps and then drop to 20fps HeII No I can not accept that.
Developers are coming to the Xbox360 for 2 reasons, 1 the larger install base 2 the Xbox360 owners buy GAMES.The Attatch Rate of the 360 is Higher than the PS3 and the Wii combined so that is Proof that 360 owners buy more games.The 360 has plenty of good games this Holiday Season that will sale systems.Halo 3 is going to sale Millions of Systems alone,and thats why PS3 Fans Fear Halo 3 because they dont want to see the Console Gap get any wider than it already is.
ITS the RAM in the PS3 the developers cant use the PS3 RAM as FREELY as they can with the XBOX360 RAM and this is where your Framerate problems come from.PC gamers know that if you have a Good GPU and a Good CPU and the games still have framerate problems all you need to do is add more RAM, 9 times out of 10 your framerate problems will be gone.My son downloaded the Heavenly Sword Demo, its a beautiful game but it too had small Framerate issues and it only runs 30FPS.What i am trying to say i...
I Laugh when you said Sony dont need to put up or shut up,you must not own a PS3 because mine is collecting dust SONY needs to put up or shut up.Lair has been in development for 2 years and it is a PS3 exclusive it should not have got 1 LOW Review if you ask me.
SONY is watching Microsoft every move when they need to be making games for the PS3,Disc space this Disc space that.Lair is 25gigs 12 to 15 hours of gameplay and it got SLASHED by 1up and EGM on the Review.BIOSHOCK dont even fill up a DVD and it is 15 to 20 hours of Gameplay, so what is the use of having a 25 gig game if a game on a DVD has more hours of gameplay..........Exactly.SONY needs to put up and shut up.

How can you get mad at the XBOX360 fans when it was EGM and 1UP that gave LAIR a Low Review.If the controls in LAIR is as bad as EGM AND 1UP say they are,IGN and GAMESPOT is going to give it the same Low Review so you might as well get mad and call IGN and GAMESPOT XBOX fanboys too. Epic said the PS3 version was going to run slower than the PC version,they said 30fps was best for the PS3 because 60fps on the PS3 would lose to much on the graphics.By the way i own both systems so dont Slam me just because I Picked a game for the 360 over the PS3 thats the beauty of having both systems you should try it.
I agree with your statement I own both PS3 and 360,I want to get Unreal Tourn for the PS3 but EPIC said it will only run 30fps,so I am going to wait and see if Epic get the 360 version of Unreal Tourn to run at 60fps.
I read an article yesterday that the developers were having trouble getting this game to run good on the PS3.The article said something about when you go into the Super Slowmotion Move it didnt look as good as it do on the PC and the XBOX360.It seems some developers are having trouble running the Unreal Engine on the PS3,but I guess Epic should be able to help them out.
Lair is a Beautiful game but Panzar Dragon is the king of all flying Games period.What made Panzar Dragon a AAA title was Graphics and the Control System.The conrols on Panzar Dragon with the AUTOMATIC LOCKON ENEMY TARGETS is the best targeting of all flying games.If this Review from EGM is true then SONY needs to get their Sh@t together.SONY should have made the developers build LAIR from the inside and then the outside,it should be in this order Controls,Gameplay,Framerate and then Graphics...

Name those GAMES, SEGA TENNIS TWO PEOPLE ON the tennis court running 60fps thats easy.NINJA GAIDEN one Ninja moving 60fps while the enemies 30fps easy also NINJA GAIDEN ran 60fps on the XBOX. MADDEN FOOTBALL 22 players on the field at 60fps each very hard to do.
Developing a game with Beautiful Graphics and getting it to run at 60fps is hard to do for the PS3 and the Xbox360.It is easy to get games running at 60fps on the XBOX360 simply because the developers can use the 360 RAM anywere that RAM is needed.The PS3 has some BEAUTIFUL First Party Games about to be released,all of those games are running 30FPS.Now ask yourself why are all these Beautiful games for the PS3 running 30FPS? I dont know why the PS3 is having so much trouble running games at 30fps,but I can tell you that this is Embarrasing and anyone that owns a PS3 should feel the same way.In the terms of a PC GAMER 30fps is a joke and 20fps is a unplayable Game.
