In a recent interview with IGN, CliffyB was quoted in saying the following:

ROUGHLY TRANSLATED :-
" Metal Gear Solid is our example of the game we`re not able to do. It`s just beyond us"
after watching the live performance ... i know that`s got to have shut a few people up who thought this guy wasn't FOR REAL .

OK so Tosh are making an upscaler to play movies .... Blu-ray is all about the storage space . Its not like this new upscaling technology is going to be any use as far as game development is concerned and true movie buffs know that upscaled = none true HD . IMO toshiba`s new tech will be sold along side dvd players AS a dvd player ..end of.
yeah i`m gonna do just that too m8 ...coz i love to pay for everything ...makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside when i think of shelling out for content and access to play online etc etc....NOT
how the fvck can you sit there and say Sony waits for other to make the technology 1st and the steal it when Microsoft are renowned for doing just that ( NEWTON CONTROLLER ring any bells)and have been doing so since the company was founded . Dude you need to read up on the underhanded dealings of your beloved Microsoft before you start calling any other company.
If its any good i will buy it on Blu-ray .
Both games will be great BUT very different styles so buy which ever interests you the most as and when they are released .

Microsoft ever had an ORIGINAL idea then they might be able to keep it under wraps until THEY actually want it announced .... just a thought :)
