the only way to change the pricing is to vote with your wallet. it is in this regard that Activision has us by the short curlies. They know how popular their franchises are. They know they will sell at a higher price point. This is why they do this, because they know they can. it's hard not to have mixed emotions when you read an article like this. it's great that Ubisoft and other publishers are going after a bigger audience and trying to grow the industry. but at the same time, i can't help but to worry about what that is going to mean for hardcore gaming in the future.

Will all games in the future be geared towards a 'wider' audience? Will the IP's that we know and love stop getting funding because the more mainstream 'casual' titles will outsell ...
