Definitely give it a shot. The beta was a blast and the learning curve is much lower compared to other fighting games.
Even still, it's not entirely necessary. Play with whatever you're comfortable with. Some of the best Street Fighter IV players in the world play on pad. The "play on stick or you'll never get good" mantra is outdated as hell.
Wow yeah, a lot of these I had predicted and it's unfortunate that it's true. I'm a huge Fallout fan but something about the way FO4 had presented reaallly bugged me. Also, wasn't aware there wasn't any kind of karma or factions system, that's a huge bummer.
I'll be playing it within the next half-hour so I suppose I'll see for myself.
I disagree. I paid zero attention to any media prior to the release of the game and I guessed the spoiler in question 20 minutes into playing. I didn't even play Ground Zeroes until the day Phantom Pain came out, honestly. I had it "spoiled" for me a couple of days after release, reading comments here, and all I could think was "oh OK, I was right" and it wasn't a big deal to me.
It is what it is. Personally, I don't really see it as a reason ...
My guess is Cody or a brand new character. The roster choices lead me to believe it was going to be a new Alpha game at some stage in development, Cody fits that mold. He's a good candidate for their "revitalization" strategy since he's rather bland/mediocre in SFIV and underplayed because of this.
When I first saw all the credits I almost thought it was a response to Konami's blacklisting of Kojima. If he can't have it on the box, put it everywhere in the game.
If anyone can confirm if this was in early builds of the game too I'd like to know.
I have faith in what they're doing. Their other character change ideas have been great.
This game will be a masterpiece. Tony Hawk did the 900 for our sins.
This trailer promotes positive themes such as being yourself, giving back to the community by building parks, and lighting yourself on fire for way sicker tricks. Nothing awkward about that.
Shame on them. They could have saved tons of money using meth instead.
Hm, yes, A Masterful Stroke
For me, it's comfort almost entirely. I learned FGs on a stick and I can't go back. There are advantages to playing on stick certainly but there are also advantages to playing on pad. Old school games with very strict execution requirements are much easier on stick, but that really isn't the case with newer games (especially SF5). Go with what you know and you'll be fine.
