Interesting. As I never really played as FemShep I assumed that Jack was romance-able for her as well based on how her character acted. I was a Miranda guy anyway. Odd that these stories are coming out now, a decade after the fact. Reminds me of JK Rowling retroactively claiming that certain characters in Harry Potter are gay years after the books were published. I also don't think, as the article suggests, that making Jacob gay would have resulted in him being a more popular love interes...
Not sure how you read my comment as making "it sound like it's do or die." But the Elder Scrolls games are always massive sellers. Hell they've been riding Skyrim for over a decade and it still sells, so it is an important IP. Just like GTA was an important IP that wasn't available on Xbox for a long time, thus helping to sell boatloads of PS2s. I imagine the next one in the series will be made well, or at least well enough to sell. It won't end up like Fallout 76 be...
Competition drives innovation. And there's nothing stopping Sony or third party developers from offering unique and interesting games. I just like the Elder Scrolls games and I'm not going to buy an Xbox, so if they make it console exclusive I'll either have to miss it or get a new laptop to play it. So I'd like an alternative on Playstation if it does go that way.
While I enjoy seeing updated versions of classic games I love, it's also a commentary on the current state of gaming that we're seeing more and more remasters vs fresh and gripping new IPs. But I suppose I'm partly to blame for giving them my money more than once.
Currently being worked on, yes.
For their sake I hope they grab up a studio with something in the works that can compete with Elder Scrolls if Microsoft decides to make the next game a console exclusive.
I don't think ME3 deserves a lot of the hate it got, with the exception of the ending of course(which was probably the worst ending I've ever experienced in a game), it certainly refined a lot of the mechanics from ME 2 and I enjoyed the story for the most part. Had some great moments, I really got a kick out of popping shots and reminiscing with Garrus(Rocky Bal-Broa!) and whatnot, but the best of the series? Can't agree.
No, the best will always be ME 1. For a...
Meanwhile Bioware is frantically trying to cut out butt shots from Mass Effect remastered. lol.
Ready for Diablo 4?! Well don't worry because the team at Blizzard is hard to work on the Remaster of Diablo 2!
Ha! I looked that one up as soon as I heard this story. I was thinking "Her butt wasn't in that many shots was it?" A shame to mess with art...
The problem with "Inclusivity/Acceptance&q uot; as a virtue is that to include and accept everything and everyone requires watering things down to a fairly bland degree. Not everyone can handle eating steak, therefore no one gets to. But everyone can handle eating bland oatmeal, therefore that's what everyone gets. Sure, no one goes hungry but few people are happy with their meal.
But yes, I'm sure that'll pop up on a lot of mid-year performance reviews. W...
"The original trilogy we now know was censored because of fear from Fox News backlash on at least two characters."
Link to proof?
Okay, let's get past the actual subject matter being altered and the poor motivation(IMO) for doing so. The question should be "will taking this action help or hurt our sales of the game?" And I don't see how this change in anyway shape or form helps sell the game. I don't believe there was a portion of potential buyers for this game that were just off-put by the handful of cut-scenes that involved shots of Miranda, which was modeled by the beautiful Yvonne Strahovski, w...
toxic-inferno
"but this is a creative decision made by the people who created the game." But that's the problem, it isn't a creative decision being made by the people who created the game, most of those are long gone. It's a decision(political/ideological , etc.) being made by people who inherited the IP, one of the greatest of the 21st century, and who haven't actually created anything worth a damn yet. Yes, it's their decision to make as they...
You bring in a smoking hot model to play one of the main characters, you better get your money's worth of that ass! lol
I had to go look the characters up after seeing your comment; can confirm.
Didn't need to be Bioshock 3, it stood on it's own merits and I enjoyed the hell out of it.
You and me both. I've started the original Bioshock a couple of times and then get sidelined and forget where I'm at but it was fun when I was playing it. Infinite I bought years ago standalone and played it straight through, I thought it was a fun game with it's own charm, I think you'll like it.
After my game got stuck in the options screen, then crashed 3 times in the first two hours, I uninstalled it. Maybe it'll be fixed in a year or so. Yeah, it's as bad as the internet makes it out to be.
