As a fan of Robert Heinlein's original Starship Troopers, I'm more than excited to check out Vanquish when it comes out for the PC (never). Oh well, I suppose I'll read your article, rewatch the Verhoeven adaptation, and that should suffice.

I'm going to have to go with TripWire. Their meteoric rise from small-time modding community to fully fledged developers has been inspiring to say the least. The newest incarnation of Red Orchestra has me gripped in giddy anticipation.
As ColMnischewitz put it, reviews are often holistic and abstract. It would be unreasonable to withhold criticism from a 10/10 game. Perfection rarely exists. Having said that, Gears of War comes close, despite its many flaws.
As long as the content isn't distastefully dramatized, I can't see much going wrong with "Six Days in Fallujah."
It's true, a considerable number of U.S. and Iraqi combatants fell during the battle of Fallujah...but that doesn't change the fact that we have a right and an obligation to accurately depict the events which shaped the battle and the War in Iraq.
