Of course, these standards are ruining our games instead of making them better. Look at the reviews of Knack/Ryse/Killzone etc. Too focus on visuals tgen tge important thing, gameplay.

Oh your probably right about Steam as they have probably implemented a free games service. Steam > everything else and I agree, I am a long term Steam user since 2005. Consoles require a sub fee and people think the games are free.. lol Any who we should be grateful that these corps are giving there subscribers something.
Depends, XBOX LIVE now includes dedicated servers and rarely has down times. For free games PSN is better but everything else LIVE.
What issues? The X1 has weaker hardware yet is pulling out the same quality games. ESram has made it possible.
The sad truth of fanboys today. Because of the competition MS are giving away free games now with GWG. Instead of you fans being grateful, all I hear is wining and comparing. Be thankful these companies do this because they don't have to. Nintendo don't give away free games neither does Steam (Unless the game is a free game like DOTA2)

Sad that you think Ryse was a failure and shouldn't consider a sequal. Sony are turning Knack into a franchise and that did even worse on reviews.
Funny you say FM5 is downgraded. Its one of the best looking racers on the market regardless what they took out. Plus that's 1080p/60frames.

I count what matters most. 360 was the console to buy last gen regardless of MS failing to support it as the focus shifted to there next system. PS3 finished 3rd in my books, only overtaking the 360 when the focus shifted.
Your saying in 5 years time if the PS3 outsold the Wii, your going to claim it the best selling system of last gen? Its not last gen anymore, its current gen with WiiU/XB1/PS4. Last gen marathon finished years ago.

Wow such nonsense in these forums. Halo 2 is a complete remake of the original game with the standard game running in the background. Did anyone care that Bungie made Halo 3 that wasn't even displaying HD? Of course not. If Halo 2 runs at 720p that would be a good thing, it only means there using the power to do other things then just on pixel count.

You have no idea what there pushing in Halo 2, If MS and every other developer wanted to they can make every XB1 game 1080p, its called downscaling which I would rather not go though those stages, I would rather play a game like DR3 with over 20k zombies in the screen at 720p then play it at 1080p with less then 10k...
You cant blame the hardware, blame the development. Ryse is one of the best looking next gen games that shows what next gen can do, but instead we get games with slightly better visuals then last gen on both consoles. The problem is both systems have the power to blow us away like Ryse and Infamous but companies are taking short cuts on screen.

Yeah I think MS has 2015 in its bag as well. I mean your talking about there biggest franchises coming out in 2015 in Halo 5 and Gears 4 and history shows those games are unmatched compared to its opposition. Sony already used 3 of there stable franchises in Killzone, Infamous and GT where as MS used 1 in Forza.
Sony better have something big on its way apart from Uncharted because MS are bringing 4 stable franchises in 2015.
