Forza 3 Ultimate 500+ fully featured cars, 100+ tracks over 200 hundread events a dynamic season calendar along side individual event selection, mechanical and visual damage a fully featured online service with trading options match making and a consistently good standard of graphics.
Also other drivers that display some intelligence. Then there is more you can do with the cars, painting, engine swaps, weight reduction, roll cages, wheel sizes, tyre width a huge choice of whe...
I love playing GT5 its addictive as hell but the graphic inconsistencies are frustrating. If you think how high the standard was in previous Gran Turismo games and that all of the cars in those games were effectively "premium" for their era its a bit of a mystery.
How many versions of skylines and MX5's and Lancer evo etc do we need to drive? Yes I appreciate the games origins and the car history is fascinating. However for me Gran Turismo 2 still had the ultima...
Before Some-One-Plays had said it I didnt even realise you could not do custom paint jobs in GT5 and I've been playing Forza 3 since release day.
I bought my PS3 more or less to play GT5 in late October this year. Thinking about it I'm pretty big on racing games in general and have had most major titles from launch since Gran Turismo 2 in 1999.
Its no secret that I'm borderline obsessed with Gran Turismo 2 but finaly its selection of cars tracks a...
Well more so the comments sections. It seems to be that a large percentage of people have quite simply lost their freakin minds.
I remember the good ol' days of SD. When games looked good, great or crap and that was it from SNES up to the original Xbox and everything inbetween. Nobdoy was sitting there counting pixels and getting there junk out over deferred lighting or some other graphical feature.
Games just were, now its become a pathetic joke. Does an...
I started playing it today without reading any reviews and I intend to not read any, ever. I love it. Reviews these days dont mean much. Halo 3 and Black ops were p*ss poor and sold loads regardless. I personally think the presentation and menu system in Gran turismo 5 is great.
Most of those preview replay vids and screens are complete bull though' -Forza and GT and so many other games are guilty of the same things. Actually playing GT5 and watching replays it looks nice...
I'm pretty sure it was two years and change for Forza 3 to be made and on a 25 inch 1080p set it looks just fine to me. Prologue looked better but the v synch tearing was jarring
Yes there are a few little jaggies on Forza but then there are on PS3 games too. I recently bought a PS3 mainly for GT and Killzone so I hope GT is good. Hell I still have my bleem GT2 around- one of the best racing games of all time.
Forza 3 is a great game and it seems that you...
One of the worst high profile releases of the last ten years. Modern warfare 1 and 2 completely own this game on absolutely every level not to mention much older titles like Gears of war 1 and the original Rainbow Six Vegas. I have played better PS2 games online and off. I bought it on Xbox 360 on the 9th and am selling it tomorrow.
In all honesty I do not think it represents better quality then 360. The large majority of games cannot be rendered properly at 1080p- they are very grainy and washed out. (unless I don't have the secret pass code) also it will not play PS2 games.
The XMB interface gives me a headache and is far from intuitive.
I have a late 09 model 20 inch LG 1080p HDTV and everything on 360 regardless of 720p or 1080p looks great, which to me suggests PS3 has problems ...
Shame I like the first game, I think it's great to play and good to look at. They're Idiots releasing a rushed sequel like this.
This looks sweet I was a massive fan of Parasite Eve, loved em. I'll have to get a PSP then lol
250BG hard drive, built in wifi and apparently 4 USB ports on the back- and I only just got hold of an elite a couple of months ago LOL, companies are fookers but that's how it works.
At the mo I find myself juggling installed games between the 120GB drive as the not so subtle sound-of-an-aircraft-engine fan drives me a little mad. If it is quieter without installations then that's good.
Firstly people need to stop defending Square as if they were a small child. The company chose to develop Final fantasy in a way that they saw fit and if they c^cked up the series that's two bad. Plenty of other devs have gone PS3 exclusive and done what they wanted to and vice versa.
Gaming is a form of entertainment and ultimately an industry why cant anyone be happy and just play games and enjoy them? I watched that footage in 720p and thought it looked great-I've been playing ...
That was class and yes, at first I thought it was legit
Maybe it did but Gears 2 came on DVD and still had alot more content and better graphics. I'm gonna assume that's due to advances in rendering, resource management and compression.
I do not see how much room a game supposedly tskes on disc is a blight against future sequels. That vid looks good. Some games have really pushed-Resi 5 I'd say, capcom seem to be good for graphics on all formats. (although they did some terrible jobs on the original Xbox)
Because gaming rigs are free. Free as the air we breathe, apparently if you a buy a PS3 and send off the included form you'll receive one hefty PC capable of playing better-looking-then-360-games with usable framerates. Incredible.
Oh no hang on... they aren't free and cost more then a 360. I bought a hefty pc a while back -over a year ago now. Then later the slim PS3 came out and the price cuts. I was a bit gutted, sure my rig was worth nearly double the money I paid at the time...
Did I just read nearly 40GB of 1080p cut scenes?! My real concern is: was this developed as a game or a very large film. I find this suspicious especially as I heard there is not a world map with towns like all of the previous games?
Correct me if I'm wrong. I know Square have produced incredible GC ever since PS1 and back then for me it was one of the most compelling reasons to play their games. I have not been big on Final Fantasy games with the exception of 7.
It's funny because I was just thinking, even in screens it looked better then most things I'd seen. Then seeing it in motion, wow. It looks amazing, makes Halo reach look like a kids game.
So this mystery game is Playstation Exclusive?
I still play Black on my 360 every so often and its the nuts. The upscalling and extra AA certainly don't do it any harm. For that matter I've been suprised how many other Xbox games look good on 360, just a shame they aren't all 60hz as I'm using a 22" ASUS TFT. I'd kill to play mercs again and longed for the original Forza when 2 came out. Eh yeah slightly off topic-
Bring on Black 2!!!!
To me it seems to have been proven, ever since PS1 that no matter how good console software is it can always get better. All of the home consoles this generation have really gone from strength to strength.
