In the end as long as its target audience is met then its job is done. The bigger issue that I'm trying to focus on was that a wider audience could have been reached if they had done a few things differently. Ultimately if one person enjoys the game its been done with purpose, but a review is to help make future games *better* and not just make them look bad.
Yeah, I really couldn't justify anything higher, especially when there was so much potential to be seem. Look at the upcoming All 4 One: THAT's what this should have been: not a Sport's Champions with tails and space aliens
Well.. he DID get what he wanted:pageviews and getting internet upset. Of course it's fake, but you can at least find the humor in it.
A lot of the big issue is that they are simply too disconnected from their own fanbase at times. Sure you have developers like Bungie and Treyarch that make it a point to listen to what their fans have to say, but the majority don't know really *how* anymore.
What are we going to do today Rovio?
The same thing we do every day Angry B, Take over the world...
I've been covering Jared and the crew's story for the past couple of weeks now. The stuff they were putting up yesterday was pretty incredible, so I have a lot of faith that, well... Faith will serve as a great Halo Indie film
Of course. When talking about open mics I generally refer to just the consoles since the PC community can and will monitor themselves fairly easily with 3rd party programs and other devices. Console they are limited solely by the controller. Push to Talk is the best way to stop a problem, but it's not implemented nearly enough
The issue to fix them is that programmer's need to dedicate a button or switch for talking, which in most cases is impossible. Between quick-action multiplayer and needing the whole controller for other commands, open-mic is something that is going to stay
An interesting read with a good bit of humor
It's a great list, and I agree with most o the list... but damned if I can't get past the "Awesomest" in the title. Jokes aside, it's a good write-up
Everyone involved is passionate in making sure this is going to work out for them. I'm sure that this isn't going to disappoint \
I've been a person to wait till the second-gen pops out, the price drops, see if there are any "red ring" scenarios.. or combinations of the three. In this day and age, $300-$500 on a console isn't a drop in the bucket and I want to make sure it lasts.
Plus, it does com down to games, graphics, and quality of what I'm playing, though with most companies developing multi-platform, it really breaks down to the style of game I prefer to play on what consol...
It would be a hit-or-miss for them to do the console. They would have to have one hell of a fancy incentive included with the paint-job. Most college students that WOULD buy it, already have their Xbox, and when cable companies control if they have ESPN 3... dumb risk.
Well Nintendo has been genitally geared towards giving families and younger audiences a better gaming experience since its inception. Sony purposely created the first Playstation to go against the grain, as it were - so yes, they are going to do it better. But in this day and age, everyone should be able to effectively play both sides of the field.
