The 3DS is an amazing handheld, and soon people will start to realize that with these amazing games. I can't wait for a new Metroid, Zelda and Pokemon on the 3DS. All three will be awesome!
Actually, a lot of people outside of Japan care about the series. Games aren't released unless A LOT of people are going to buy them. Look at operation rainfall. So much protest, so much demand, no one budged. Video Game companies are often treated like they are stupid, when they really do actually think things over.

At the end of the day, you are exactly right. Gamers can play what ever they want when ever they want to. Why do they need to try to make everybody think their console is best? As long as YOU like what YOU play, all is good.
N4G is low on Nintendo fans, so this will get a whole lot of dislikes, but @DarkCharizard_ and I know what we know, and you guys know what you know. But what I know is that Nintendo makes the most money, makes the best games, and does it with class.
Oh, so Sony and Microsoft don't make little slip ups as well? The reason this whole Nintendo crisis has been so big of a deal is because people aren't used to Nintendo making somewhat big mistakes, let alone any at all.
While yes, the 3D on the 3DS does work by your eyes seeing at different angles, your eyes are naturally crossed just a little bit, so you shouldn't feel too uncomfortable.
So, besides Skyward Sword, Nintendo isn't releasing anything this fall? No one is anticipating Mario Kart 3D, Super Mario 3D, Kid Icarus, they should rename this "Sony and Microsoft Fan Boy's Most Anticipated". Because that is pretty much what it is. They just put Zelda on there so we wouldn't get mad.
And by hardcore gamer you mean one that is to embarrassed to play a bunch of kiddie little E games (The kiddie little E games that were the highest rated and highest selling of this generation) so instead just sticks with your playstation and xbox and misses out on all of nintendo's magic.

Nintendo is trying to breath life into all their systems at once, but ends up just getting barely enough air into each of them to survive. I think the 3DS will be fine, they can leave it alone for a while. We don't need Virtual Console THAT bad. Why do you want Classic Controller Support so bad? The whole game revolves around the motion plus. If you are just into sitting down, only moving your hands, and eating potato chips while you play, this game is probably not for you.
Screen Shots look good, Screen Rates look bad.
