Boooo!
Well.. it's good info from a "web security expert".. i'm guessing the people rebuilding the PSN infrastructure are also experts at what they do. So.. i'd like to at least have some type of timeframe. So i'll be hopeful for Wednesday, otherwise, oh well.
@taylork37
A superior service.. that had an outage as well in December of 2008.
Get on the internet, order a movie, get it mailed to you, and watch it on your TV.
This isn't hard to figure out.
Maybe the writer did this for hits? You can never trust people in this world, you know.
Not saying he did, but a little skepticism is accepted lol.
Agreed. I'm getting annoyed by the plethora of gamers crying about this..
They can do what i'm doing.. and enjoy a 30+ hour PS1 rpg :)
Or go outside.. because i've been out all weekend. This hasn't really affected me too much. I'm guessing a majority of complainers are children who have nothing better to do.
I'm with you.
Sike nah, i'm just gonna play some Yakuza 3.. then play Yakuza 4 when i beat that.
And i got a load of PS1 games, i hear Xenogears is one long ass RPG.. that'll take my time up.
@Darthv72
I never said everything they give you is free..
What you get for free are PSN games, minis, and PS1 games of their choosing. You also get free themes and avatars. Once your subscription is done, whatever they gave you for free, you cannot use anymore.
If you purchased a game that was discounted during your subscription service, you keep it.. because you purchased it. Anything you purchase, you keep. Anything they give you, you don...
They said it was a POSSIBILITY people..
You guys need to read, and then understand it, rather than reading, and jumping to conclusions.
I agree.. i think people are just way too demanding.
You subscribe, you get the free games they give you, and any discounted game (or any game for that matter) you purchase, you keep forever. You get your moneys worth, in my opinion... plus access to betas and demos before anybody. And full game trials.. try before you buy.
It's a good service.. you're getting hundreds of dollars worth of content, all for a one time subscription fee for however long ...
Some of them are.. the majority aren't.
Suspicious indeed... what if you DID put your credit card info in and it worked. Who's to say their elite hackers aren't behind this and trying to take our information?
I, personally, don't think that's what's going on. I think it's just a joke to say Sony takes your money. I believe the problem in Japan to be the real answer to the PSN outage.
@Clizzz
You're renting the games that they allow you to download. If you buy something, of course it'll be yours. You're only paying a subscription fee to have access to those free games.. it's kinda like renting, but you don't have a choice, except for what they give you.
On top of that, you can think of this as similar to Gamefly.. you pay for the subscription, get what game you want (depending on what they have in stock), and then you g...
I agree.. but remember, all that costs money. And the PSN is free :P
Correction.. Steam achievements are directly related to trophies, provided you link your PS3 account to your Steam account.
Also, it doesn't work the other way around.. only on your PS3 version will you unlock achievements for the Steam version on PC.
Damn right! This is going to be one interesting future for gaming.. can't wait for E3 :]
would make a rap about Sony. LOL GeoHot is so retarded.

Word.. this shit sounds so awesome. I wasn't thinking about picking up Portal 2, but this just makes the price that much sweeter. I think i might get it now haha.
It's a good thing i always erase my credit card info after i purchase something.
I agree though, they're revamping the ENTIRE infrastructure.. they might add things to it too.
I'm willing to wait it out.. they HAVE to do it for themselves, and this is just benefiting the consumer since they're actually rebuilding the entire thing.
