looks like Sony had to make a fast decision... wipe our A$$ and change our shorts or mock up a bold marketing campaign to start battling for this holiday and next first quarter spotlight.
I think it might be little too late. Nintendo is going to kick marketing into full swings in very short time. I think it would be best for -$ony and M$+ to market what theyve got and then wait for some dust to settle.

This reminds me of what Bill G. from Arizona Republic said in his review of the first Pirates movie. basically in more words he said something like... Pirates of the Caribbean sucks! Why? Because I hate anything to do with pirates.

My kids and I would welcome any free test bundle of the Wii U this Christmas. That way we can do all those things that we could just do on the PS3 and Vita... just say-in'

Microsoft seems really busy marketing their marketing right now. At least from an outside POV. Smartglass was announced and then what? Maybe they needed to make more room on Smartglass for Ads.
I'm already concerned with getting neck strain on WiiU in some situations, what is M$ planning on us do, put the game "on pause" and "put the controller down" to pick up the Smartglass and read about other media entertainment?

Actually, in most cases when you buy a digital product, you may download it again at any point free of charge... when you go to a brick shop and purchase a disk, your stuck with that disk. If you get your finger stuck in it and have to break it... your shiitake mushrooms out of luck.
Almost all software is a license agreement. Your agreeing to use it according to the license the company issues with the software. In that license is typically a clause that states that they may change the content of the license at any time without your consent.
Although they are not entirely right how they went about it to their loyal customers and regardless of how good they have been or poor... it is more than likely their legal right to do what they did.
I'll agree to label it a Gap-Gen but definitely not a Stop-Gap. The Wii U will most likely be very successful on it's own. There is a gap... will be... how ever you wanna say it. Wii U will fill the gap, more than likely have a typical 5 year cycle and push high numbers. While the upcoming Gen will grab elitist core group, then slowly filter more sales through their cycle.
I don't see it happening much different than the current Generation honestly. Who knows... a...
I want a free Vita. LOL seriously though... It's not going anywhere with 4 or 8 games and it needs to work like we're playing right on the PS3 or vita solo.
