"Given how infrequently we bumped into the issue, even during frenzied sand dune battles with two allied AI players in tow, the issue is surprisingly rare. Most drops tend to be imperceptible, and in the end, we resorted to scanning hours of footage to track most shifts downwards from the 60fps mark. A screen filled with effects-spewing creatures isn't necessarily the ticket to a frame-rate drop - even at its extremes the Xbox One holds up well save for a few choice moments." <...
Another flame bait article, lol
As usual ppl forget that a certain exclusive first person shooter on another console had to drop the resolution in an effort to hit 60fps in multiplayer, BUT ended up at 45 fps mostly.
How does that bode?
@ GTgamer, it bodes like this: If one lives in a glass house, one shouldn't throw stones. Allow me to dumb that down for you: I mean, if the overwhelming vast majority of a consoles games don't hit 6...
It's hilarious to listen to this BS
So if during the most intense D3 scenes the frame rate drops to 53fps, this is bad?
What does that say about KZ where the developer dropped the resolution to try and hit 60fps but ended up at 45fps most of the time.
Double standard, lol
Well done to the individual that pushed and help Blizzard reach 1080p with a framerate better than some exclusive first person shooters on another conso...
Looking forward to DLNA
Great job on those updates
It just keeps getting better
"Now the folks at Digital Foundry have put together a helpful side-by-side comparison of the game running on all three platforms, and the console versions sure do look crisp."
Great to hear.
Good job Phil
Kinect has proven to have so many uses, including beyond the gaming community, i.e. medical field.
Exactly
Every time I'm out at major retailers I check the price of BF4, it's still cost more than a years subscription to EA Access. Maybe online you can find it for a few $$ less, but EA Access come with 3 more games you can download, more to come, and early access to others.
Define loosing huge?
Like going from 157m PS2 to 83m PS3 huge loss?
MS already went from 24m OX to 84m 360, and X1 has higher world wide and US sales than 360.
Best part, 360 launched in almost 40 Countries, X1 in 13, and x1 has done better.
@ Daniel, not a moot point, it shows how well X1 is doing without the advantages the 360 had.
@ Eonjay, I always laugh when someone tries to tell me that the US is MS ho...
Thank you Captain Obvious
Fact is some ppl prefer console gaming, and sometimes it's down to the exclusives, have you seen the X1 line-up? Awesome :
Forza Horizon
Sunset Overdrive
Halo Master Chief Collection
Project Spark
Killer Instinct Season 2
Happy Wars MMO
Dance Central
Fantasia Music Evolved
Dark Dreams Don't Die D4
Ori and Blind forest
Dungeons and Dragon MMO
September is looking good.
Lots of shooting, Destiny
Lots of racing, FH2, preloading is a go!
Great to hear the consoles are selling really well.
That's CRAZY talk!
Everyone at N4G knows ppl play resolution and not games, at least this gen, last gen, not so much.
Really, I would never have guessed that a product selling in 1/8 of the Countries of another product would be behind.
I thought the less places you sell meant more sales.
Why would anyone expect to sell more cookies in 100 classroom compared to 13 classrooms especially if some cookies come with milk (Kinect 2.0) and are more expensive.
I don't think I can dumb this down any further?
@ Evilsnuggle, you mean like what'...
Releasing in 8x as many Countries as a competitor helps (100 vs 13), selling for 25% less (7 months) helps as well.
@ Xero, no, add up the NPD reports and the difference is less than 20% on a product with a price difference of 25% for the majority of it life.
X1 has the best line-up by far
Glad to see MS continuing to support their fans from last gen:
Hoizon 2
TF
etc
Congrats, a 32% spike following exclusive announcement of Tomb Raider.
Lazy developers, that and the SDK came too late
No one will disagree with that term as we all heard that term used EXTENSIVELY from 2006 to 2013.
@ Lukas, Strong hint; the statement "SDK came too late" tells you that I read the article. I also read hundreds of articles like it from 2006 to 2013 and if I had $1 for every time I saw that term, I'd be rich.
@ Lukas, I didn't come up with that term, I was fed it for 8 years. ...
Exactly, we've already seen the huge improvements in Forza Horizon 2, Diablo 3 and TMCC as both near production, something The Division is not (nearing production).
Congrats to Nintendo and the WiiU
