The wii is a video game it doesn't have the same power than the others but it offers something else that the others can't.

Until the last word, i thought it was a good article but like others article on this website, some people try to think for others.
As a wii owner i don't think i have bought a gamecube (in fact i never had a gamecube).
I like the xbox360, a little less the Ps3 too expensive.
But the only original console that bring something new is the wii since the nes (or course with the ds), and some people will never see what it really brings.
Really it's a shame.

Go namco, my wii needs some rpgs and please ship it to europe, don't make us wait 2 years.

The problems is when the Ps3 will have its price cut.
Sony's luck right now is that game cost a lot, so editor to maximize their chance to make profits prefer to developp their games on xbox360 and Ps3. If it was like the last generation Ps3 will be dead right now, All the developp will flock to MS and nintendo.*
Sony's luck is the disastrous choice of this generation to go HD too soon and lead to the increase of the cost to make a game ( ask developper that close down ).
Life is not cheap.
But this developper have great tools to make game that cost less ( psn, wiiware, xbl), but the problems with this services is that you can't have a lot of publicities.
In fact some game are mean to be on 2D (sonic, megaman).
What does it have to do with wii or ds ?
Can you explain this to us nostradamus ? Do you know something we don't ?
Should we remind you Okami sell more on wii than the Ps2 ?

This isn't news guys (like it's not a news when you compare graphics of a game of the hd consoles), wii has outselled xbox360 and Ps3 since the beginning.

Like you i was amazed that no one on this site pointed that T2 begin to change its politics about nintendo. It's true they made money on Hd console but it's nothing like it was during the ps2 era.
Hd console cost a lot to develop, this is why wii will have a bigger life span than people think.

Like the others in the industry, they can't ignore the wii anymore because they need cash. Lucky them carnival games sell very well this year on wii.
