I just had the embedded rectangular border around the top right info. When I first saw the video with it in there I was hoping it's just theme-specific.

YES! I called Sony about this. I have the exact same set. Sadly there is no Audio Out for bluetooth devices such as this. Sony just replied with "the ps3 currently does not support this device" - that's what I told THEM.....
You can only use them as a headset which works great.
