For me, it got better. Everyone is different, so you may or may not like it. There are alot of things storywise I thought were cool. And I liked messing with the hordes.
Literally just beat this game last night. Spent so much time messing with hordes. Lol. Fantastic games with a couple flaws, but I had a great time. I'm actually finishing up the horde kills and unlocking the extra missions for the closure endings.
It's the thinks beyond graphics that will get attention in the future. You can only go as far as realism, or playing a fluid cartoon, but physics, fluidity, AI, choice, and more background processes will get more attention. To be fair, at first ps3 to ps4 did not look like a big leap, but go back to a ps3 game. You will see major differences that seemed subtle at first.
The guy that said working 50 hours a week was the most he seen humans work, made me laugh. Try working 6/ 12's or 15 hours a day for a few months. Then you will cry to go back to 50 a week. Crunch. Lol
Why would they need to apologize. People (suckers) have already forgotten and forgave them and are throwing money at their crap again. Look at all the people begging for diablo 4 or whatever other garbage they put out. Buisness as usual for blizzard.
The switch was the new kid on the block making money for devs. Now there are two new machines, ready to push forward and bring more immersive experiences forward. The switch has its place, but will always be behind the curve of new machines. Not a bad thing, as Nintendo said themselves they aren't in a competition. But, yes, there will be excitement cir both the big machines to see what boundaries they will push next.
I'm not loyal to any one brand, but playstation has been solid the last two gens. Enough to maybe buy the ps5. However, if Sega was still in the hardware biz, I would have their system for sure.
I think they will surprise people with the acquisitions made this year, but it's too late for me. I bought the og xbox for halo and halo 2. Its been down hill since. With them pioneering pay online and questionable buisness practices on the 360, I never wanted another xbox after that. I really dont see it changing next gen.
Really, the source code was a problem with japanese game companies in general. It is what it is. If you like to be pessimistic, by all means, go for it. There are some people that are as good or better than the past. Sega is in the middle of a turnaround, Nintendo got past their issues, capcom is getting better, and so on, and so on. It takes the right people and thinking, along with listening to consumers can turn it around. I'm not saying konami is going to do this, but it's possib...
Konami has one of the greatest gaming catalogs in gaming. If you weren't gaming in the 80s and 90s, you wouldn't know how great it was to see a konami arcade machine. Along with capcom, Sega, taito, data east, and many more. I hope they find themselves again.
