@redbutterfly no the 360 did not outsell the PS3... The PS3 is slightly ahead of 360 in sales worldwide, currently the PS3 doubles 360 sales every month, and the winner last gen was the Wii, witch took a chunk of Playstations market share, as did 360. 360 also sold a lot of units due to RROD rebuys and a slew of collectors edition consoles(everyone I know had at least 2 360's.. Making a fan base of around 40 million seem like it was a fan base of around 80 million)
See johndoe11211's comment and click the list wars link. Pretty much sums up who has more games currently, oh and Last of Us remastered and Bloodborne are the 2 highest rated games both PS4 exclusives.
Plus when you take into account a lot of XB1 "exclusives" are on PC and some are even on 360...
Yet in every market they share PS4 out sells XB1... Oh and XB1 is currently the only console in China.
You make it seem like being in more countries is the only reason the PS4 has sold double the amount of XB1. Even if XB1 was in all the same places as PS4 it would make little to no difference in terms of sales, just look at Japan as an example were XB1 struggles to sell 500 units a week.
XB1 reveal and first E3, left a horrible taste in consumer's mouths... XB360 was an exclusive ghost town toward the end of its life cycle, relying on 3rd party games to keep them going. MS XBOX PR and heads did a terrible job, leading to major changes at the top. XB360 inflated numbers due to many re-buys(in fact I don't know anyone that didn't have at least 2 Xbox 360's) making a fan base of around 40 million seem like a fan base of 80 million. This Is my problem with mp only games... As much as we all hate it networks still go down, XBL, PSN, and even PC servers still go down. Having SP still lets us play a game we paid good money for, when said network goes down.
All that said..,.. I still pre-ordered mine on PS4.

See a lot of gamers I know, still have the old consoles, they kept all there games and consoles, and still play them. The others that don't, really don't care for retro gaming.
We need the competition between companies. The fans are going to debate, it's been going on since nintendo Vs. sega.

I was just thinking the same thing.... Not one person I know that has a PS4 had problems with the update.
Yes, PC gaming is great.... Yet all I hear from that community is bitching that Bloodborne won't be ported to the PC.
GTA was out on consoles first, and a majority of games come to consoles first, cause that is where publishers and devs make there money... PC games sell well, but a large amount of piracy goes on too.
An over whelming majority of gamers I know, game on consoles, and the few PC gamers I know are mostly die hard on one game like WOW, or ba...
Maybe the thought is... People that will use XBL on PC already have a 360 or XB1, so they are not charging for it on PC. Maybe it won't have as many features as on the consoles. If you are a PC gamer you wouldn't use XBL for Netflix, Hulu, Skype, etc... Plus a lot of games people play online on Xbox like COD and BF are already free to play online on PC.
In no way does this suggest MS are going to stop charging for XBL on consoles.
I personally don't get into COD, BF, AC, or GTA... And sales wise they are among the most popular games. I mean I've played them at some point or another, but I rarely purchase any of them.
I know plenty of people that just love all these games but I'd rather spend my gaming dollars elsewhere.

I seriously doubt hololens will be out this year.
Nintendo has to do a good marketing campaign for this game, and it should do very well... Especially to everyone that has Wii U, and a special holiday bundle including X with a small price drop and Nintendo could do great this holiday.
