Forget the price drop....you get what you pay for.
Gears 2 will get more attention because MS will spend a ton to market the game. So to some people (the sheep that accept the paid for opinion as truth) Gears 2 will be the bigger game this holiday.
BTW- Reviewers can also be included in the "paid for opinion" catagory

even diehard 360 fans need to come off the perch and be a fan of this one. No hardcore gamers library is complete without Killzone 2. Even people who don't like shooters need this game to see where the industry is headed.

I already pre-ordered a copy. I'm not sure how successful it will be, and therefore might be hard to find. But out of the 3 versions (360, PC, PS3) the PS3 version is definetely the one to keep because it has a bunch of major positive differences.

If multiplayer games are the the most important, you need to get a PS3 because some of this generations best multiplayer games are exclusive to PS3.
All MS has is big pockets that try to buy a piece of the action because it can't make it on its own.

3rd parties will use some of the bluray space
people playing casual games will want something hardcore.

Now if you buy Gears of War 2 you are supporting the pansies that don't belong there in the first place.
