Well said @343
I think it's the same folks who spill hate on Xbox daily that keep pushing there bias. They act as if a Studio closed down.
Well said@obidsnshinobi
I have been seeing this trend lately a lot.
@Blak
Your point is moot for several reasons 1) you forgot to add Forza 7, 2)Phil Spencer has already provided responses (post Scalebound cancellation)stating new IP and new game announces are coming at E3, 3) you have no clue how game development and game ideas are pitched on a yearly basis. Saying none of the games above move units pretty much confirms the amount of knowledge you have in gaming. To clarify, it is limited.
Looks like a fantastic game to Start the year in Xbox. I always tell folks you want diversity support Indie games.
Solid titles for BC
@rain slacker
You make some valid points, I agree with many things you say. Plus I commend you for keeping your response civil (we need more of that). Overall, It's was a decision that team Xbox made that could have had serious implications on the lineup, if the game turned out horrible, and now a decision made internally due to undisclosed circumstances has caused concern to the Xbox community. In my opinion I was looking forward to Scalebound, because I support compel...
@rainslacker
Last year @E3 Xbox team mentioned that they were developing 14 Titles, and some they could not disclose due the nature of how early in development. 4 titles were released since Recore, Forza Horizon, Gears of War 4 and DeadRising 4.
Fast forward to 2017 Scalebound got cancelled and we know about
Sea of Thieves, Halo Wars 2, Crackdown 3, State of Decay 2 and Forza Motorsport 7. That leaves four unnannounced games and possibly new ...
Okay now these articles are just click bait. What is 10 today alone.
@christoculos
I agree with you this game looks fantastic. Hope we get a release date soon.
To much doom and gloom. Let's see what the future holds. Don't be quick to count MS out.
Note as a primary Xbox guy I am disappointed, however, there are a lot more projects MS is involved in. Don't assume the worst because outside developers could not complete a project for MS.
@lelo2play
I wouldn't pay mind to Overload and Genuine User they are both anti-Xbox every single day, including knocking Xbox One games for years, now they concerned about a cancellation regarding a game that was in development for 4 years. They are toxic to the gaming community and now they trying to perpetrate fraud like behaviors just to keep there hate train alive. Don't waste your time.
Read the Eurogamer article.
@Septic
Well said, I was one of the gamers excited for this game, especially the ability to play a Western Action RPG with great Japanese developer influence.
I think it leaves a hole on what could have been a solid year, really hope they have a good Third party exclusive to fill that hole or have an ace up their sleeve.
Right now
Halo Wars
Sea of Thieves
State of Decay 2
Crackdown 3
@WickedLester
Well said.
@Darthv72
I believe since Scalebound first announced 2014 they gave Platinum games 4 years(including the year the game was shown), overall platinum got an extra year and MS realized they didn't get far enough. Probably lost millions to only see small progress.
@Foxtrot
It may not be the way you see it. It may be an incredible E3 and although Scalebound has been cancelled( I was disappointed), you may be jumping on the negative bandwagon to soon. Let's see how the year plays out. They say they have games than we have to give them the opportunity to show off the games.
@obscure_observer
I think you are exaggerating, further we have games coming this year E3 is around the corner, don't let one title that Platinum could not deliver on, cloud your judgement on Xbox.
Phil's response "Honestly not sure yet, but I know people want this"
Make it happen Phil, time to crush the naysayers.
