Well said @Angainor7
Congratulations Matt, please make Phil proud. I really love how MS is shaking things up and focusing on games.
I like options, not mandatory options. Good to hear that Undead Lab and Team Xbox not going the route of paid DLC.
I haven't played Fortnite, but PUBG is fun.
It's comes down to preference, I really like the lineup MS has for the first half of the year, Sea of Thieves, State of Decay 2 and Crackdown 3. I love Rare and Sea of thieves looks like lots of fun. I am also a big fan of God of War. I skipped the last few Spiderman games, due to not appreciating the movie tie-ins or nothing new approach(recycled gameplay) to those games. Really love Insomniac so I hope they can do Spiderman Justice. I think both consoles are going to have a great year a...
@FallenAngel1984
According to your fanboy logic no Xbox exclusive is big.
Xbox One had a good run at the end of the year. Games like Forza 7, Cuphead, Super Lucky's Tale and PUBG. Now 2018 is going to kick off with some solid games. Glad to see PUBG doing great on Xbox One. I still need my chicken dinner.
Impressive patch to an impressive game.
The problem is that all these rumors create false stories and a wave of news that can be positive or negative, depending on who is reading. On N4G as well as other websites that have predominant Sony commentators, it would start a negative wave or Doom and Gloom for the year. The same way you see already with a few comments posted above.
@UCForce
I think they have to start small and work there way up. Create Single player games like Tacoma, The Last Stand, Ori and Blind Forest, State of Decay, Cuphead, Ashen. Try to create Single Player narrative driven games with Xbox 360 graphics smaller budgets and depending on how they are received help them grown into bigger sequels. Xbox One has RYSE, Sunset Overdrive, D4, Quantum Break and Recore. While I believe they did well. They weren't commercial successful ...
I loved Turok games. Can't wait to play.
Xbox will have a good 2018. If they can release everything promised at E3, and sneak in a few surprise announcements. I see 2018 being a good year. 2017 was a reset year, the services are all in place, the hardware is released, the Japanese 3rd party support is going to be strong in 2018, ID@Xbox releases the best indie games in comparison to competition. It's First party who has to improve.
@kwietStorm
I gave a solid critique. You never provided a real reason as too why Xbox deserved a D-.
Xbox One took an L on Big triple AAA exclusives however Xbox deserves better than a D+. It's as if no one gives credit to Game Pass, ID@Xbox, Xbox One X, Xbox live updates, Cross Play, Xbox Play Anywhere, Back Compatability and solid games like Halo Wars 2, Forza 7, Path of Exiles, Cuphead, PUBG. They have great games that you can't find on competing console. I would grade Xbox One a B-.
This article is off, Xbox has a ton of games coming exclusively to Xbox One, Black Desert Online, Blind Fury, Task Force, Sea of Thieves, Deep Rock Galactic, Darwin, Day Z, State of Decay 2, Robotron X, Ashen, Artful Escape, Ori and the Blind Forest, The Last Night, Crackdown 3, possible Forza Horizon 4, Halo 6 and Ori. In a brief press release, MS has stated they have unannounced games coming.
@Woolly
You make valid points however, your points are wasted on the Anti-X crowd.
Looks good to me.
PUBG had over a million players in two days on Xbox One. Now that number has probably doubled or tripled. I never had a problem finding a match.
Amazing and fun game. Thank you Bluehole and Team Xbox for bringing this game to Xbox.
Yes MS is continuing to invest in console first.
