If people are failing to make it month to month, the solution to that is not to pre-order a game earlier, it's to prioritise if they can afford to buy that game at all. Pre-ordering is not a response to financial welfare, and it's certainly not a solution.
Unfortunately we do live in a climate where many people live below the poverty line, I'm not ashamed to say I am one of them. At that point, your responsibility to yourself is to stretch your money, not waste it faster. ...
This sounds very much more like an indication that a person requires money management classes, and less that a person needs pre-orders. I get paid monthly, and I'm not flopping week 2 of the month because I can't control my spending to anticipate for other monthly expenses.
Thanks. I realise this topic can be incredibly inflammatory, I'm glad I managed to illustrate my view reasonably. I don't believe being deliberately provocative is the way to go in this instance.
I agree. As I said in my article, the security the added sensor gave devs was incredible. Possibly the only reasonable benefit to making the peripheral mandatory for the console. Reversing things like always online DRM was a smart move, but pulling the support the Kinect really wasn't in my opinion. It could be a great piece of hardware if they actually plunged the necessary support into it.
