I don't think microsoft is doing this for selfish reasons. I think both Sony and Microsoft are getting pressure from developers to limit used games and piracy. Microsoft is doing that. As much as it sucks for us, it really is improving the idustry and especially the developers.
I think thats a pretty good guess JOY. I expect at least 8 hardcore AAA games. Ryse, Halo, forza, new unannounced ip, quantum, black tusks game, crackdown, killer instinct or perfect dark. Theres also two teams at lionhead and i think three at rare. Even if a bunch are kinect only, they will still have plenty of AAA hardcore games. Thats only first party too. I think you are right. I think they may be testing the waters before they make the official announcement on it. Microsoft cant afford to push away consumers like this. I expect them to rethink their strategy.

i expect probably about half of these 15 exclusives to be kinect/arcade games. Despite that, i think 7 to 8 legit exclusives in the first year is pretty damn good. Only question is will these titles deliver?? Cause Sony's exclusives always do. If Microsoft can really bring it at e3, i might get thier console since i don't care about used games. I buy new games discounted on amazon.
Microsoft has an easy solution to this problem. When you let a friend borrow a game it should allow that user to play the game in full and just lock the owners downloaded game as long as it is active on the friends. Once the game is returned, you re-download the game to your profile and you have full access and the friends downloaded copy becomes locked or unusable. I think Sony will again win E3. However, Microsoft should have a better outing than thier last few horrible appearances. If those rumors are true about them canning games are however, it could be another easy sony win
i dont care about the used game ban, cause i hate gamestop and thier ripoff used games. I usually buy new. I think they are going this route too. i just don't think it will be as bad as rumored
what if this always online function was nothing but a way the box constantly updates and keeps up with fresh programming for the cable and updates.
I doubt they will implement the system that you need to be connected to play a game. That, along with a used game block would be a big mistake and cause a massive uproar.
