lol @ "days of professional reviews are long gone"
I'm just trying to think of that time when those professional reviewers were awarded professional videogame reviewer degrees from an accredited institution, and that they actually applied some system of objectivity across the board according to some agreed upon set of standards and best practices to the material they were reviewing instead of sounding like invested fanboys in some capacity each and every time. ...
So glad we all got Nintendoland bundled instead of ZombiU. Man, South Africa must be so pissed right now. /sarcasm
It's truly sad that after how many years of capitalism an article has to be written explaining to the ignorant masses why companies behave like Wario.
"I don't care what you think," Says the poster who felt compelled to express him/herself to others in the comments section.
If Microsoft is unable to enforce their own launch date, then they should immediately have it available for digital purchase rather than to blissfully encourage an environment which allows pirates, and not paying customers, to be the first to play their new games weeks in advance.
I am of the opinion that region locking only serves to encourage piracy among consumers, which both Nintendo and developers take a hit on in order to support their local distribution channels.
If a game is not released in your region or is released a year after the rest of the world, there are a number of people who would find this unfair and look to correct that unfairness. Add fuel to the fire that if it is released in that region at a later date it will cost substantially...
I like Nintendo and eventually I'll get a Wii-U, but I don't personally know any other Nintendo fan or anyone personally for that matter who thinks what is currently being offerred justifies the price of admission.
It's not like Nintendo is the only show in town, there is plenty of other entertainment options that 350+ could be spent on.
Preorders open Thursday? What's Nintendo got against the working man... Looks like little Billy doesn't get his wii-u for xmas, because his daddy has to work for a living and Nintendo wants to make it easy for unemployed Ebay scalpers.
I don't know what country you live in, but here in the U.S. the way it works is if a wife just so happens to get looked at in a manner anything less than she deems pleasing by her husband, he may then be the one ending up getting abused by having half of his financial assets seized for starters...
1. Economic Recession - CHECK
2. Wage Stagnation - CHECK
3. Increased Unemployment - CHECK
Why wouldn't this be the best time to launch an optional entertainment product which costs about as much as many people take home in a week's paycheck?
It doesn't. Let's apply a little logic and reading comprehension.
The conclusion was "time is required before the next generation console cycle begins in earnest" The counter premise was "Although Nintendo will release the new game console Wii U and the market will be continue to be invigorated by the increase of DLC". This counter premise by the use of the word "Although" is giving a contradictory premise to strengthen the conclusion ...
Please...No...Stop...Don't give me more of those quality games that I enjoy. People really will complain about anything nowadays.
"@VofEscaflowne - How many people will pirate it on a Wii U? #zero How many people will pirate it on a PC #lots - Never say never for Wii U but it's easy to make a case!" Dave Cox
That's not the actual tweet, but if he put some thought into it beforehand - it could have been.
jeseth, what you fail to realize is there is measurable difference between your average N4G dork and your paste eating, bed wetting, never going to be a productive member of society dork like this guy KingAnon was referring to. And in this case, I'd say the measurable difference is about 150,000 gamerscore points - give or take a couple thousand.
*rolls eyes* Article should more accurately be titled, "What a girl needs - a clue."

"What games are you looking forward to playing?
PurpleGirl: I’m dying to play Diablo 3 but I have a Mac, so I have to wait until I get back home and beg my brother to let me play it."
Boob animations? Welcome back onto the Buy-List RE6.
lol
So what your saying is in this awful economic climate, Nintendo is trying to put people out of work by discussing how to stop their competitors from hiring people to voice their companies opinion?
The U.S. Supreme Court already ruled corporations should have the same rights as people to voice their opinions basically, even to the point of allowing them to fund outside sources to voice that opinion... I smell a lawsuit abrewing if Nintendo wants to proceed in this anti-capit...
And shortly after Nintendo CEO Satoru Iwata concluded the meeting topic on "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all", he moved onto more pressing meeting issues involving the WiiU like "Half the specs for a next generations system is better than no next generation system at all."
Oh, so it's okay if your part of the 1% and have connections. You should feel entitled be able to play it before the rest of us who play by the rules.
They agreed to the same Terms Of Service (TOS) that we did and should be at home patiently waiting to play the game until the official launch date like everyone else, or perhaps Microsoft should just have a separate TOS for the special people and then one for everyone else.
