ShadowGeist is 100% correct. This entire article is taken out of context. And if anyone bothered to read the source material, you would have realized that the quote was completely butchered:

"Basically the teams said that if we can afford to give them 1,000 times the performance of the PS3 then go ahead, do it."

So... the headline shouldn't have apostrophes or quotes anywhere near it. The 3rd party teams suggested as much power as Sony can throw...

Interesting. Wonder if people in these regions will start generating more activity once they realize it's being broadcast.

The key here is that Ubi is only showing data that's already available. It has been presented in a way to give a "Big Brother" feel.

I'd suggest keeping an eye out for posts made from Desmond Miles... imagine that the Animus could easily be used to make posts via FourSquare/Twitter/Instagram :o)

@ModernKamikaze - Did Rockstar actually say that? I remember people paraphrasing it, but could never find the source.

Frankly, I wouldn't expect a "port" either. They knew this was coming, and they know they have a large PC audience. High resolution textures and advances features should have been developed from the ground up for years.

If not, it's the first time I've ever said this, but I would be very disappointed in R*

Yeah, but, don't get too excited. It's not even a next-gen poster.

Or... his gain, when Rockstar finally announces GTAV for next gen/PC...

Some people don't want to invest 40+ hours into a game on hardware that is 8 years old!

I can't imagine that Rockstar is honestly going to turn a blind eye to a market segment willing to invest in advanced tech.

I think this is smart. If they can stick to it and limit the damage from UPlay/DRM - this is clearly a strategic play against GTA V.

Ubisoft is listening to the majority of people asking for a PC release AND a next gen release for GTA V. Rockstar is dragging their feet. GTA V will do well... but some people prefer quality hardware/visuals/functionality and this is a big chance for Watch Dogs to snap up market share from GTA V.

If Rockstar decides to (intellig...

I've seen the crash videos - they were impressive. I'm confused regarding this video however, nothing stands out as being very modern. It was a suspension/traction demo and didn't appear to do much beyond what some games have had 7+ years ago.

Should I be combining the crash videos with this handling video using my imagination perhaps?

I believe that would be considered a book.

Spaceg0st - we are the hype train! Haha, Rockstar doesn't actively promote their games until a few months prior to launch.

GTA IV is certainly open to anyone's opinion. Love it or Hate it... I've never met anyone who "kind of liked it". Personally? I played/beat the console version and then ended up with the PC version 4+ years later, still play it and capture custom replays to this day.

Still is the best execution of the Euphoria engin...

How do you fix it? I agree it's a problem... 2 solutions, both related, and Sessler nailed one of them:

1. Better marketing, not "marketing" as it relies on greased palm reviews or BS averages and user scores.

2. Demos!!! What the F***? Why did demos vanish? If someone can play a demo and get the full gaming experience from it, not needing to play the full game, guess what? Your game sucks!

I've left behind the consoles (fo...

I am so confused as to how so many opinions have been formed without any input.

Calm down. At least wait until you see/read something that has some details.

Nope, this is serious...

Plants grow in real time and the characters, which are all online, real-time humans, actually age.

Glad to see everyone else correcting the "Watchman" reference... it's concerning that the basis for a movie being cancelled is referenced inaccurately.

BTW the Worldwide Gross was: $185,258,983

With a budget of $130,000,000 (approx)

Knowing that sequels ALWAYS perform better than their predecessors. This seems silly to consider "Watchmen" a failure.

Agreed 100%... this is what happens when companies acquire other companies and let shareholder interests dictate the development.

I would bet $60 that R* would rather develop this properly, for the PC, instead of the many sacrifices required for a console launch.

However, we are in tight times and profit margins are important - their hands were probably tied.

As for the concept of mods - don't get too excited, GTA IV had the 1.0.7.0 vs...

Wow... "Now this screenshot leaves me with more questions rather than answers" Really? You literally have NO answers... just screenshots and assumptions you are making.

The "analysis" conducted didn't offer any more information than anyone with a pair of eyes and a marginally functional IQ.
