LOL! You thought you were badazz playing an easy game like Batman AA on 'hard mode'
Wow dude, you're Elite!
"will get 9.4 on meta"
Most of the gaming review sites have fired or purged the Xbox fans who were worming their way into 'reviewing' PS3 exclusives and their inevitable '7/10 - didn't live up to teh hype' trashings.
There are still Edge, Eurogamer, and GamesRadar that are still cesspools of anti-Sony hate who think it is still 2006/7.
But sites like 1Up have fired most of the hardcore anti-Sony/PS3 people and many of them got hired away to Mic...
"Vgchartz numbers are just rough estimates"
I don't want to flame you, but can we stop this sh*t.
They are not 'estimates', they are fake. End of story.
Fake. F A K E
There is no source for tracking sales data globally. Let alone on a weekly basis.
Are you guys so naive to think some kid running a website is get week retail tracking information from every country in Europe, South America, the Middle East, Asia, in addi...
Vgcharzt goes back and 'fixes' their fake sales numbers when the real numbers come out.
Vgchartz is a site every gamer from no matter what console should be disgusted with.
The last thing gaming needs is yet another site spreading lies and fake information.
Wow, that was some serious ownage of Pizzagaki.
Hilarious!
LOL!
This like the responses you get from the little kiddies who play WoW when people talk about how dumbed down Blizzard made the game to appeal to the mass market and they start crying that WoW is 'hardcore'.
"Batmans enemies are set up in a way that you CAN'T Button Mash or else you will get your ass handed to you, what game were you playing?"
You can't possibly suck that bad that.
Group of enemies.
You hit one. Move the left stick towards a different enemy. Hit again. Occasionally hit counter. Later on you have to jump over the electric prod guys. Repeat until they all have dropped.
Basic enemy juggling. Braindead and unrewarding.
The game most definitely is a button masher.
Pretty much every non-boss fight is a group of enemies you pretty much just have to cycle from one to another hitting. Sure that a few extras thrown in like the guys with electricity rods you have to jump over, but for the most part combat is just spam buttons while randomly moving back and forth between enemies.
The stealth stuff is the most disappointing. You barely even have to try to sneak up on enemies. You pretty muc...
"Halo doesn't need good graphics. Who needs good graphics...smelly old 2007"
2007 is being way too generous.
Halo's entire existence is founded on that stupid 'green shiny effect' that for some reason was latched onto as 'teh ultimate graphics' back on the Xbox.
Other than add massive amounts of bloom to cover up the ridiculously outdated rendering engine that series is like some band still trying to put out disco albums.
Take away...
Developers have to be breathing a sigh of relief.
Just look at the absolute joy Rockstar North is showing over being able to leave the gimped Xbox 360 hardware behind and focus just on the PS3 and its gigantic graphical power advantage and 25 or 50 gig BluRay drive.
Unlike previous gens, this is the first gen where you have a site that is entirely dedicated to putting out fake sales figures, vgchartz.
Previous gens everyone just used the most recent shipment figures from companies. But this gen you now have a site run by an Xbox fan who is actively putting out laughably bogus numbers.
Those lies about sales worked back when total console sales were in the 5-10 million range. Vgchartz was able to massive inflate 360 sales numbers...
Gee, could it be they have a the biggest software company in the world pumping tens of millions of dollars of their OS monopoly revenues into:
* Buying review scores - the infamous Halo 3 1000 dollar 'gift bags' sent out to reviewers
* A marketing budget bigger than the entire budget of most game development studios
No, that can't be it. Bungie is just 'brilliant'...
How badly Microsoft got wrong their copy of Sony's Spyro the Dragon's Skill Points is a perfect illustration of the different philosophies about gaming Sony and Microsoft have.
Skill Points in the Spyro the Dragon games was something above and beyond the game to extend the value of the game and give a sense of satisfaction to the gamer of accomplishing something.
Sony's various trophy levels show that focus on the gamer that Sony is so well known for. The Platinum tr...
"in Japan since they barely buy HD consoles"
Why would you claim such a silly thing?
The PS3 and Wii were neck and neck in weekly sales for a good part of
2009, and the PS3 was ahead for many of those weeks. And that was with the PS3 being about 150 dollars more expensive.
Also, the PS3 launch was hampered by a severe shortage of Blu-Ray diodes that limited the supply of consoles available.
A 256 player dedicated server based online game with beta testers reporting no lag from the premier online console game developer Zipper of SOCOM fame on a Playstation platform?
The gaming media is in the same situation they were with Killzone 2 where its graphics made a complete mockery of every silly little claim they tried to make about the 360 being anywhere near the PS3 in graphical power.
Now the insane MAG makes the same type of mockery for online play.
...
"Mine would be a console with a blu-ray drive, Xbox Live"
That is hilarious. PS3 owners...anyone want:
50 dollar a year online fees adding up to some 250 dollars over 5 years. 500 dollars wasted if you own the console for a full 10 years.
Laggy P2P networking instead of the lan-like feeling of Sony's PSN dedicated servers?
Tiny game sizes. 10 player or 16 player games instead of 40, 64, or 256 player Holy Grail of online shooters, ...
"I thought that with the patch, the game became great. Deadzone is different than weighty controls."
Gotta hand it to GG. It was a brilliant placebo patch.
Leave the controls exactly the same and all the suckers making stupid complaints about the controls fell for.
GG made you a fool out of you.
Guerrilla Games pulled off one the most amazing ownages I've ever seen by a company.
Back when the gaming boards were filled with non-PS3/Killzone 2 owners and players from arcadish shooters like Call of Duty screaming about 'teh controls', Guerrilla Games released a patch to the game and brilliantly made a vague statement about controls. But the controls were exactly the same. No changes.
The fools complaining about the controls fell for the bait and started claimin...
The lies about the Killzone 2 controls were the last bit of desperation after a every other bit of FUD thrown at the game failed.
First it was gaming TV program that intentionally edited Jack Tretton talking about Resistance running live right there at the show over the Killzone 2 trailer to make it look like he was lying.
Then after Sony demoed Killzone 2 running live on PS3s that matched the 'impossible CGI' trailer, the FUD switched to claiming the game will suck ...
"Combat similar to Gears of War"
Wut?
Combat similar to Kill.switch. The game Gears of War copied.
