on Neogaf said that the beta codes will go out for the U.S. from this morning to early this afternoon so keep an eye out. I'm excited to try this out for myself, Resistance 1 is what got me into FPS in the first place. BTW, if you want keep up with the latest updates for R2, Neogaf is the place to be, Jstevenson is on there answering questions all the time...

my wife played the beta with me. She doesn't care for videogames that much except mario bros. back in the day. When she played it with me she could not stop laughing. Since the beta ended she has asked me everyday when the game is coming out and that I better buy it as soon as it does, which is EXTEMELY RARE for her. THIS is the game that can bridge the casual and hardcore gamers out there.

I was going to paste the exact same paragraph you did. I really like to point out this:

Didn't notice the screen tearing on my end, but then again, things were going crazy fast. Yeah, you can't compare Pure to this just like you said (Pure devs compared it somewhat to SSX, which is pretty accurate IMO). Graphic wise, I give the edge to Motorstorm2, the lighting, phisics and everything else going on is very impressive, but I do thing some of the textures need to be smoothed out a little bit (hopefully when the full release comes out). I agree, purchase it is :)
playing Motorstorm 2... Freaking awesome!! Tried all three vehicles several times to get the feel of them as well as the course. By far the bike is the funnest out of the 3 (IMO). VERY FAST feeling on the bike, going ba*ls out feels great as well as the taunts you can do. Monster truck was alright, you have to think ahead when cornering, but running over people is satisfying. 2.42 just updates the games/software so they run smoothly once the new update arrives. imo. Could be wrong, but that's just my guess.
Release the video's of the conference on the playstation store like they did with the European press conference a couple of months ago. No worries though, I'm pretty sure they will have some surprises for us next week IMO.
