Great show guys. See you next week.
Queued and ready for the commute ;)
This really goes against the grain, but it is welcome change to see the industry realize a lot of us play games during the summer.
It seems as though Nintendo focuses first and foremost on making something look like it will do everything you dream it would. They worry about adding actual functionality later. I'll admit, Wii bowling is pretty dead on, but on the same disk, Wiiboxing seems completely random.

Actually, with most these aquisitions, the money is really over the intellectual property. Then after the aquisition they tend to shrink the dev teams to save money. I'm guessing due to the massive amount spent on the IP.
It's unfortunate that the gaming industry is panning out to be just like the other creative mediums. I can't say that all EA games suck completely. They just don't seem to care as much about taking chances to make a stellar game vs. focusing on making more money. While there is a glimmer of hope behind wiiware, xbox arcade, and the PS Store, it's unlikely they can save an industry from inevitable mediocrity.
Go Speed Racer.
