If the problem is just "laziness" on the developer's part then why don't you go and try to come up with a new way of telling a story? Like DMason said, all those titles you listed are awesome games and the devs already work incredibly hard in order to bring us the things we enjoy. Just give them a break already. It's not like it's incredibly simple to come up with an entirely new way to tell a story that hasn't been used/clich...
Just imagine it, having your PokeGear on the controller so the screen is clear and then during battle you would have the traditional attack/item/pokemon/run options on the controller

This isn't really that big of a deal. I mean personally, along with most of my friends, already install every game we get due to the whole quieter system, faster load times, less stress on system, etc. because we do have the space. I mean I do feel bad for people without that space but like other posters said it's their fault and they have to face the reality of going cheap on the console or they can just go out and buy a cheap flash drive
It's just shit like "Most Anticipated Game in History" that really piss me off. Like who is Activision to make a claim like that when there are other amazing games coming out this fall not to mention other games in the past that deserve that title. Don't get me wrong, I'm probably going to at least get this game for the campaign but as far as my most anticipated that has to go to Skyrim, Bioshock Infinite or Mass Effect 3 which will all blow this game out of the water.
Here's to hoping that PU stands for Personal Unit and is actually going to be the first real-life Pip Boys :D
Try playing with a melee/ranged only character; it took me like 70+ to beat the game even though I did most of the side quests and missed only two side bosses
There are actually some decent shows considering they had a deal with AMC so they brought over Breaking Bad and Mad Men and more recently The Walking Dead and they also have Futurama,South Park etc. so that is well worth the money on it's own, but if not there is always just abusing the two-week/one-month trial period over and over
